46-year-old Dandre Mccury was found asleep behind the wheel of a running car at the intersection of Bell Road and Zelida Avenue on March 10th. Officers made contact and noticed a strong odor of alcohol as they approached Mccury. He attempted to drive off when they asked him to exit the vehicle, but he failed because his car was still in park. Once Mccury stepped outside, he was very unsteady on his feet and would’ve stumbled and fallen if not for assistance. He was immediately placed in the back of a police vehicle. While in the backseat, he was read implied consent but refused to provide anyone with an answer. Upon further investigation, it was found that Mccury had three prior DUI convictions originating from Maury County.
