Curtis Fletcher Jr. shoots gun at juvenile ex-girlfriend’s car during altercation

20-year-old Curtis Fletcher Jr. was booked on an outstanding warrant from December 3rd, 2023, after police were dispatched for a shooting. When officers arrived, they spoke with Juvenile Victim One and Madison Hines, who advised that they were at a gathering with some friends when Curtis approached them with his girlfriend. Curtis then began arguing with the juvenile victim and Madison, so they decided to leave and started heading toward their car. They noticed Curtis and his girlfriend getting into a car as well, and as soon as they pulled off, Curtis sped up to them and fired shots into their car before driving away. Officers observed holes in the vehicle and a flat tire from being shot. The bullets hit neither Madison nor the juvenile. The two advised officers that Curtis was upset with the juvenile for an unknown reason. Apparently, Curtis used to be in a relationship with the juvenile victim, and they have mutual friends, which could be why he was also invited to the gathering. According to the juvenile, Curtis is known to carry a gun and has done things like this in the past. Police tried to contact Curtis but could not until he was arrested for the incident on March 3

Bryan Daniels found passed out drunk on balcony of stranger’s Airbnb

36-year-old Bryan Daniels attempted to enter an Airbnb without permission at Rep. John Lewis Way on March 3rd. When officers arrived, The complainant stated that Daniels was outside sleeping on their balcony. Daniels was barely conscious when the officers were speaking to him. They asked him where he was staying, but he was unable to communicate due to his level of intoxication. Officers had to hold Daniel’s body up as he was placed into custody and transported to booking on March 3rd.

DUI: Jarred Ferrell caught driving on revoked license with 2 children in car

27-year-old Jarred Ferrell was jailed on March 3rd after a state trooper pulled him over on Donaldson Pike for driving without wearing a seatbelt. The trooper approached the black SUV and advised that in addition to not wearing a seatbelt, Ferrell also had two children strapped improperly in car seats in the vehicle’s back seat. Ferrell advised the trooper that he didn’t have a valid driver’s license and handed over his Tennessee state ID, which revealed his license was revoked for a DUI out of Murray County on February 7th, 2016. As the trooper placed Ferrell under arrest, they could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and asked if he had been drinking. Ferrell admitted to drinking earlier in the morning and consented to a blood sample. A criminal report showed that Ferrell was previously arrested for driving with a revoked license on February 7th, 2019, in Giles County. Ferrell was then transported to the hospital for a blood draw before booking.

DUI: Crystal Fennell whips children while high on drugs at Waffle House

41-year-old Crystal Fennell was jailed on March 3rd after complaints of a woman pushing her kids and swinging a whip at them inside the Waffle House on Old Hickory Boulevard. Witnesses stated that Fennell had entered the restaurant with two children and began behaving erratically. During this time, the witness observed Fennell push both children and swing a whip at them. Officers tried to speak with Fennell, but she wasn’t making sense. From their professional experience, the officers believed that Fennell was under the influence of either meth or cocaine due to her behavior. Officers determined the abused children were ages 5 and 6 and belonged to Fennell. Officers also discovered that she was in possession of a multi-lashed whip.

 Multiple complainants stated they saw Fennell arrive, driving a white Chevrolet suburban. Officers decided that it was unsafe for Fennell to perform sobriety tests due to her fidgeting and constant pulling away, fearing Fennell would run into traffic.

 When Fennell was arrested, she began complaining of chest pains, to which officers requested an ambulance. While at Nashville General Hospital, she admitted to drinking some alcohol and then spat in Officer Heaton’s face. Crystal Fennell was taken into custody on March 3rd for assault on an officer, DUI with a child, and two counts of child abuse.

Deangelo Buckner throws ex-girlfriend’s phone into wall during argument at Super 8

32-year-old Deangelo Montrell Buckner had an altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Lakesha Renae Gibson, at the Super 8 on Princeton Place in the early hours of March 2nd. When officers arrived, they spoke with Gibson, who reported that Buckner had broken her cell phone. Gibson stated Buckner did this by throwing it at the wall during an argument about things he found on it. Buckner admitted to officers that he angrily threw the cell phone and showed it to them. Officers observed the cell phone to be destroyed and placed Buckner into custody for vandalism.

Shelia Barnett assaults husband during argument over marital issues, tells police “I don’t want to talk about it”

44-year-old Sheila Faye Barnett had a domestic altercation with her husband, Torie Harold Stratton, at their Mountain Springs Road apartment on March 2nd. When the officers arrived, they met with the couple and a witness, Walter Vaughn, Stratton’s cousin. Stratton advised officers that they argued over marital issues, which led to her attacking him. Vaughn confirmed Stratton’s statement as officers observed the two abrasions Stratton sustained, for which he refused medical treatment. Then, officers spoke with Barnett, who advised dispatch during the initial call that she was strangled and assaulted by Stratton. Despite this, when officers questioned Barnett, she stated, “I don’t want to talk about it,” repeatedly before denying the claim of being strangled. Officers observed minor abrasions on her elbow, which she said happened when she fell in the washroom and not from Stratton. Barnett was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Deonte Spears charged with aggravated statutory rape of minor

27-year-old Deonte Spears was taken into custody for the solicitation of a minor and aggravated statutory rape on February 8th. On January 26th, during a forensic interview at Nashville Children’s Alliance, JV disclosed that she and Spears had sexual intercourse numerous times when she was 15-16 years of age, during which she became pregnant and had a child. Detectives recovered multiple messages between JV and Spears from her computer and phone. JV confirmed that she had messaged him about sex through her “Gmail Account,” where he solicited her to engage in inappropriate acts. JV was shown pictures of the email message thread and confirmed she was messaging Spears. JV also explained that she obtained his email through an Instagram Chat, where he provided her with his email to communicate. There were numerous texts between them about their child. Deonte Spears was taken into custody on February 8th.

Jay Dubowsky caught hunting without license at Percy Priest WMA

33-year-old Jay Michael Dubowsky hunted at Percy Priest WMA without a hunting license on December 10th, 2023. TWRA agents observed this and were notified of a previous incident where Dubowsky killed a male deer without a permit in November 2023. They seized a deer rack as evidence and cited Dubowsky for the violation. Dubowsky was booked on the citations for illegally taking wildlife and hunting without a license on March 1st.

Nathan Dwelle deemed too drunk for Downtown Nashville

35-year-old Nathan Michael Dwelle tried to enter the AT&T building repeatedly even though it was closed at approximately 1:29 a.m. on March 5th. When officers arrived, Dwelle reeked of alcohol with scrapes on his arms as he advised them that he was “trying to get into his hotel”, which he believed was the AT&T building. Officers noted that Dwelle was unaware of his whereabouts and took him into custody for public intoxication.

Richard Fletcher punches man, destroys his back windshield during road rage incident

21-year-old Richard Fletcher had a road rage incident with Hany Farouk Gerges at the Dover Glen Drive and Murfreesboro Pike intersection on December 22nd, 2023. Gerges called 911 for assistance, advising them that another subject, later identified as Fletcher, had stopped short in the middle of the road, preventing him from pulling into a parking lot. Fletcher exited his car, approached Gerges, and exchanged profanities with him. Then, according to Gerges, Fletcher started to remove the plastic covering of the driver’s side door, so to prevent further damage, he exited his car and continued to exchange words with him. Fletcher threatened him, saying, “I will beat your ass!” and then he opened the door completely, stepped towards Gerges, and punched him in the stomach. Gerges used his pepper spray and fled the scene, during which Fletcher smashed Gerges’ back window with his arm. Fletcher was located at a nearby emergency room, where he was interviewed and confirmed he was at the location and had been pepper sprayed by Gerges. Fletcher was taken into custody for vandalism and assault on March 4th.
