English tourist Charlotte Standen resists arrest during Broadway Brawl

37-year-old Hampshire, England, tourist Charlotte Standen was part of a Broadway brawl late Friday night, which included her partner. As she attempted to remove her partner from the fight, officers arrived and attempted to separate everyone and remove Standen from the brawl. Her partner then began to walk away, and when officers told him to stop, she got between him and officers in an attempt to prevent him from being detained. She was advised to step aside and not interfere, but she refused and would not place her hands behind her back. She was eventually taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Mylev Davianna Boone slips handcuffs, pushes MNPD officer into wall

20-year-old Mylev Boone was jailed late Friday after an altercation at her home in East Nashville. Someone could be heard screaming for help when officers arrived at the Conviser Drive residence late Friday night. Officers observed the original caller and her daughter attempting to restrain Boone, who was being unruly and threatening. As officers attempted to detain Boone, she became tense and pulled away. She was visibly intoxicated and reeked of alcohol, according to police. She was eventually placed into handcuffs but later slipped them and then pushed another officer into a wall. She was eventually restrained enough to be transported to booking.

Richard Grams drunk and disorderly at Hilton Nashville Airport

56-year-old Richard Grams was causing a disturbance at the Hilton Nashville Airport Hotel late January 3rd. Grams was being disorderly in the hotel lobby, visibly intoxicated, as officers told him he could either go to the hospital or go to jail. He refused medical treatment but was unable to take care of himself or provide an answer to whether someone would be able to care for him. When they tried to detain Grams, he pulled his arms away from them repeatedly, so they had to bring him to the ground in a controlled manner. Richard Grams was taken into custody for resisting arrest and public intoxication.

London tourist Christopher Lee fights & flees from police downtown, #PreTrialRelease

19-year-old Christopher Lee, who was visiting from London, was one of the individuals involved in a fight on January 1st on Broadway in downtown Nashville. Witnesses and bouncers advised officers of the scuffle, and they located Lee, but he began to flee, ignoring their commands to stop running. Lee was actively resistant when they detained him, and he was pepper sprayed during the altercation, so he had to be medically cleared before being taken into custody for evading arrest, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

Julian De La Rosa jailed after punching bouncer at Jason Aldean’s Bar in downtown Nashville

20-year-old Julian De La Rosa was disorderly at Jason Aldean’s Bar early January 1st. Security guards advised officers that De La Rosa was extremely intoxicated, refused to leave after being told to, and punched Tony Madrid, a security guard, in the chin when they were detaining him. De La Rosa pulled away from officers, trying to avoid handcuffs, but he was ultimately taken into custody for resisting public intoxication and resisting arrest.

Jonathan De La Rosa too drunk for Jason Aldean’s Bar in downtown Nashville

25-year-old Jonathan De La Rosa was reportedly acting disorderly at Jason Aldean’s bar on Broadway late New Year’s Eve. Security warned Jonathan about his behavior. He continued to be disruptive, so he was placed into handcuffs and escorted out of the bar due to his level of intoxication. Jonathan was turned over to Metro Nashville Police, who transported him to booking and charged him with public intoxication.

Tourist ‘Lake’ Lovorn fights with police officers, bouncers, drinks downtown using fake ID

20-year-old John ‘Lake’ Lovorn was taken to the ground by a bouncer at Layla’s Honky Tonk on Broadway in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Saturday morning, and the two began to wrestle on the sidewalk. Metro Nashville Police Officers noticed the commotion and separated the two. According to a friend with him, Lovorn had been drinking nearby at The Stage on Broadway, but it was unclear what prompted the altercation with the other security staff. Lovorn fought with officers as they pulled him away, eventually causing them also to tackle him to the ground to detain him. One officer injured his hand during the struggle. In addition to his actual valid license, Lovorn had a fake North Carolina ID in his possession under the name ‘Lake Lee Leonard,’ which stated he was 21 and contained the actual ID number belonging to a Mark Carr.

Jarvale Chesser steals ex-girlfriend’s Mercedes-Benz C300, attempts to break-into her Honda Accord

38-year-old Jarvale Javawn Chesser was driving his at-the-time girlfriend’s, Alexis Hick’s, Mercedes-Benz C300 with expired tags on Lafayette Street in the early hours of May 29th. Officers observed this, conducted a traffic stop, and found Chesser’s license was suspended, so he was cited. On November 16th, Hicks advised officers that they had broken up, but he gained access to her Mercedes-Benz without consent and refused to comply with her demands to return it. Then, on December 17th, officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance outside of Hick’s residence. She advised them that Chesser attempted to break into her Honda Accord and began to punch the front passenger window repeatedly, causing scratches, and he kicked the front left fender, denting it, and fled the scene. A few hours later, officers located Hick’s Benz and called a towing company. Chesser walked toward the vehicle but ran away after seeing police as they told him to stop. Officers tackled him to the ground, but he was actively restive. Chesser was taken into custody for evading arrest, resisting arrest, vandalism, and theft of property.

Tamya Hill refuses to be removed from patrol car, spits in police officer’s face

25-year-old Tamya Hill was involved in an altercation with the first responding officers at West Hamilton Avenue on December 16th. Officers received a call that a woman was waving around a knife inside of a halfway house. Upon arriving, officers spoke with the residents of the halfway house, and they said that Hill had failed a drug test, so they told her that she had to leave. That infuriated Hill, so she grabbed a knife and began waving it around like she was going to use it. The residents of the halfway house produced a video of Hill yelling and waving the knife around. The officers made contact with Hill and detained her. They began to pat her down for any weapon, but she started kicking and screaming. Suddenly, Hill sat down and refused to stand up when instructed to. Officers attempted to lift her off the ground, but she began to pull away from them and resist with force. While placing Hill into the patrol car, she continued to resist and intentionally kicked Officer Nicholas Sloan in the leg. Hill later spit in the back of the patrol car, vandalizing it. In the secure garage at booking, Hill refused to leave the patrol car and violently resisted officers’ attempts to remove her from the vehicle. Hill grabbed onto a seatbelt and trapped her feet underneath the seat to prevent officers from removing her from the car. Hill then spit in the face of Officer Timothy Mclaughlin when he was trying to pull her feet from the seat.

DUI: Matthew Simmons drives erratically, tells officers somebody was following him

42-year-old Matthew Steven Simmons was swerving on I-40 in the late hours of Sunday. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop. Simmons advised officers that somebody was following him but had no explanation for his erratic driving. He refused to participate in sobriety tests, squatted on the ground, and began saying, “Please don’t hurt me,” repeatedly. Officers asked him to calm down, reassuring him that no one was trying to hurt him. He then began to walk into oncoming traffic. They tried to guide him to the patrol car, but he was uncooperative, screaming, “Help me,” as he hit his head on the asphalt numerous times. He was transported to Nashville General, where he was read implied consent, which he denied. Simmons was taken into custody for driving under the influence, implied consent, resisting arrest, and failure to maintain lanes.
