DUI: Brandon Cato found stumbling around car, tells officers “Yes, I drank a buzz ball”

24-year-old Brandon Cato was involved in a car accident on April 5th. When officers arrived, they observed Cato stumbling around his vehicle. They asked Cato if he had anything to drink, and he replied, “Yes, I drank a buzz ball.” When officers asked for his driver’s license, he handed over his vape, stating, “I put my license in my vape.” Cato then gave officers his debit card and said, “here’s my license.” Eventually, Cato handed over the proper credentials after several attempts to search for them. Cato consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Cato also agreed to a breath test and scored a .147% BAC. Brandon Cato was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.

Sekori Jones Brown tells police “I’m drunk” after harassing people outside of Hard Rock Cafe

23-year-old Sekori Brown was seen harassing people outside Hard Rock Cafe on April 5th. When officers arrived, they made contact with Brown, who told them, “I’m drunk.” Security at the location informed officers that  Brown was trying to enter a stage that had just been set up. When officers made contact with Brown, they noticed a strong odor of alcohol. Officers told Brown to find a friend to pick him up. Instead of pulling out a cell phone to make the call, Brown pulled out a vape and acted as if he was entering numbers on it. After being told that his vape was not a phone, Brown was asked if he knew a number law enforcement could call, but he responded with, ” Brian… He’s in the catalog.” Officers deemed Brown a danger to himself, so he was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Tommie Fiffer grabs a man’s buttocks without consent

63-year-old Tommie Terry Fiffer inappropriately touched Keelan Guthrie while he was working on March 16th. Guthrie alerted the authorities and advised them that while he was engaged in his duties, he was approached from behind by a man, later identified as Fiffer. He further explained that Fiffer placed one hand on his shoulder and, with his other hand, grabbed his buttocks. Guthrie said he had not consented to this and found it highly offensive. Guthrie took a photo of Fiffer as he walked away. The photo showed a man wearing a blue hat, blue shirt, and blue pants with black and white tennis shoes. Guthrie then filed a police report and advised that he did not know the man’s name but had seen him on previous occasions and believed he was homeless.

On March 21st, officers observed Fiffer near 3rd Avenue South and Broadway, wearing the same outfit from Guthrie’s photograph. Fiffer identified himself with his Tennessee Identification card. Guthrie was unable to identify him in a photo line-up, but detectives were able to identify him after reviewing body-worn camera footage. Fiffer was then taken into custody on April 8th for sexual battery.

Substitute teacher Sullivan Baker “jacks up” student against wall in classroom

34-year-old Nashville area substitute teacher Sullivan Baker was issued a summons for an incident that occurred on October 25th, 2023, when he assaulted a 13-year-old boy at school. According to the unnamed minor victim, his substitute teacher, Mr. Baker, “jacked” him up against the classroom wall, causing his head to hit the wall because he didn’t follow Mr. Baker’s instructions. The Minor victim then began to experience symptoms of a head concussion. Student witnesses wrote statements that corroborated the victim’s story. Mr. Baker was interviewed by police and admitted that it was possible that the victim may have hit his head on the wall once he had pinned him up against it.

DUI: Connor Baucom crashes into ditch near Main Event Parking

26-year-old Connor Baucom was involved in a car accident near Main Event Parking on James Robertson Parkway in the early hours of April 6th. Officers observed him in a ditch near the Exit 48 ramp. Officers approached Baucom and helped him out of his car, where they noticed a slight alcoholic odor on his person. This prompted officers to ask Baucom if he had anything to drink, which he denied. Baucom then consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and refused to provide a breath sample after being read implied consent. Baucom was taken into custody for driving under the influence and implied consent.

DUI: Zachery Thompson found passed out in car at APlus gas station, tells police he was “shooting up”

20-year-old Zachery Braden Shaun Thompson passed out behind the wheel of his pick-up truck at APlus late April 5th. Officers were leaving the gas station when they observed this, so they approached him and noticed his vehicle was running. Officers noticed the gear was in drive, and Thompson’s foot was on the brake. Officers also saw a used syringe, a spoon with a white, powdery substance, and a lighter. Officers put the truck in park, turned it off, and put the key out of reach before alerting additional police officers. When they arrived, they obtained the drug paraphernalia, which Thompson explained he used to “shoot up” before the incident. He agreed to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Officers Mirandized Thompson, and he explained that he picked his buddy up to take him to buy dope. After Thompson’s friend purchased the dope, he returned to the gas station. Thompson stated his buddy then gave him a little bit and left but was going to return. Thompson then began “shooting up” and passed out before his friend came back to the vehicle. Thompson agreed to provide a blood sample and was taken into custody for driving under the influence and the unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Tyler Barr shoves man for insulting his girlfriend in alley outside Barstool Nashville

27-year-old Tyler Barr had an altercation with an individual in an alley on the side of Barstool Sports Bar in the early hours of April 7th. Upon arrival, officers observed him arguing with several individuals and separated them. Officers were advised that Barr was arguing with a woman, later identified as Barr’s girlfriend. A man passing by made a comment to Barr’s girlfriend, which angered him. Barr then shoved him, causing him to fall on his face, leaving lacerations to his jaw. Barr told officers that he was arguing with his girlfriend while walking through the alley when he overheard a man insult his girlfriend. So, Barr pushed the man in the back, causing him to fall face-first. While officers spoke to Barr, he began arguing with the victim and his friends. Barr threatened the victim, calling him a “p*ssy” and asking if he wanted to fight. Barr was then taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

Charles Serwa kicked out of Kid Rock’s Bar after vomiting

21-year-old Charles “Charlie” Serwa vomited in Kid Rock’s Bar and became verbally abusive with security on the afternoon of April 5th. Security flagged officers down and advised them that Charlie had become aggressive once they told him to leave. When officers spoke with Charlie, they noticed he reeked of alcohol while showing signs of impairment. As officers tried to de-escalate the situation, he shouted more profanities at a passerby, so they deemed him a danger to himself and others. Charlie was then taken into custody for public intoxication.

DUI: Luke Wooldridge blows .172% BAC after speeding down I-65 North

23-year-old Luke Wooldridge was speeding in his gray SUV on I-65 North near mile marker 91.0 around 4:03 a.m. on April 7th. Officers observed him going 83 mph and initiated a traffic stop, where he was initially slow to stop but pulled over near mile marker 92.2. When officers approached the driver’s side, they noticed Wooldridge had glossy eyes and reeked of alcohol. Wooldridge admitted to drinking before driving, stating he should not be driving. He made multiple statements regarding his mistake of drinking and driving. Wooldridge consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and agreed to provide a breath sample, resulting in .172 BAC%. Wooldridge was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Underage DWI: Davis Gore drives into Raising Cane’s drive-thru menu after drinking Vodka

19-year-old Davis “Brittain” Gore argued with his girlfriend at Raising Cane’s on White Bridge Pike late April 6th. When officers arrived, they noticed he was sitting on the bed of his pick-up truck, which was partially in a ditch. Brittain told them he and his girlfriend were arguing over her cell phone, and she started yelling at him when they got inside the restaurant.

Brittain told officers that when he went back to the truck, His girlfriend scratched his arm and strangled him until he lost consciousness. After that, he slammed his foot on the pedal, thinking it was the brakes, causing him to run into a vehicle, the drive-thru menu sign, and then into a ditch. Brittain added that he had been drinking Pink Whitney, a vodka beverage, a malt liquor, and a tall Twisted Tea. He refused to take sobriety tests but agreed to provide a chemical sample, resulting in .059 BAC%. Brittain was taken into custody for driving while impaired and underage alcohol consumption.
