DUI: Lochlan Kikelly drinks six-pack of beer before speeding on I-40 East

22-year-old Lochlan Reid Kikelly was speeding on I-40 East on April 4th. Officers were conducting traffic enforcement when they observed him going 78 mph in a 55 mph and initiated a traffic stop. It took the police about a mile to catch up to Kikelly, during which they saw him cross the right centerline, cutting off two semi-trucks carrying trailers. He finally stopped abruptly and pulled to the right into a blind curve, partially on the right shoulder and travel lane, so they instructed him to continue forward to a more appropriate location.

Kikelly got off the interstate onto Fesslers Lane and pulled into Lions Club’s driveway, where officers told him to exit his vehicle and walk to their patrol car. While outside his car, he appeared nervous and fidgety. Officers asked him why he was traveling so fast, and he told them he was an armed guard at General Hospital and had to taser an individual earlier, which caused him to be overwhelmed. He added that he had just left there after having to return the work keys since he took them with him. Officers asked if he had any weapons, and he stated he had his duty weapon, Glock 17 9mm, inside the car and on his duty belt.

During their conversation, Kikelly reeked of alcohol and had to be instructed repeatedly to stay in front of the patrol car. He admitted to having a beer with a friend, so officers requested him to take sobriety tests, which he consented to, and performed poorly. He was detained, informed of implied consent, agreed to provide a blood sample, and then was transported to St. Thomas Midtown Hospital for the draw. While at the hospital, he told them that he had three beers before being pulled over, adding that he shared a six-pack with his friend. Kikelly was taken into custody for driving under the influence and possession of a weapon while under the influence.

DUI: Maria Leverette found drunk in her car after “3 shots”

28-year-old Maria Leverette was sitting in her blue sedan in front of Antioch Park late on April 3rd. Officers observed this as they patrolled the area, so they approached her to speak. Leverette took her car keys out of her pocket and put them in the ignition to roll the window down. Officers noticed the car reeked of marijuana and asked Leverette about it. Leverette stated she had smoked earlier in the day and that there was a small amount of weed in the car. During a search of Leverette’s vehicle, officers found an open bottle of alcohol in addition to the small amount of marijuana Leverette mentioned earlier. As officers continued investigating, they noticed Leverette had a slight odor of alcohol and was showing signs of impairment. Leverette was then asked to take sobriety tests, which she consented to and performed poorly on. When officers Mirandized her, Leverette stated she had “three shots, about 45 minutes ago.” Leverette agreed to provide a blood sample and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Vanessa McPhee assaults daughter after accusing her of dating someone she knew

65-year-old Vanessa McPhee had a domestic incident with her daughter, Malonda Jenkins, and her grandson, K.J., at their Crockett Street residence on the night of December 7th, 2023. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Jenkins, who advised that McPhee had come by and accused her of being in a relationship with someone she knew. However, Jenkins said she did not understand what McPhee was talking about. This initiated an argument, during which McPhee started attacking Jenkins, leaving bleeding scratches on her face. Jenkins stated she was standing on the porch outside the storm door when the scuffle began, adding that she fell back into the house. This is where McPhee got on top of Jenkins, continuing to attack her. KJ said that after hearing the confrontation in the living room, he came and saw McPhee attacking his mother, Jenkins. So, KJ pulled McPhee off of Jenkins by her hair, to which she responded by scratching his arms, leaving marks on both arms. Afterward, McPhee fled the scene in her car, and officers issued a warrant for her arrest. McPhee was taken into custody for domestic assault and aggravated burglary on April 4

DUI: Elias Johnson follows woman home from bank, tells police he was “making gold”

48-year-old Elias Johnson followed a female in his silver Ford Fusion from the bank she worked at to the Goodlettsville Fire Department on Long Hollow Pike around 12:33 p.m. on April 3rd. When she got to the fire station, she alerted the authorities. Upon arrival, she told them that Johnson had come in to open an account. After Johnson had finished, he stayed in the lobby, changed his clothes, and followed her as she left. Officers located him in the parking lot at the Fire Department, sitting in the driver’s seat of his Ford Fusion with the engine running. Officers asked him what he was doing, and he stated he was “making gold.” Which consisted of rolling balls of mud and smashing them into the dash. A records check revealed Johnson had a suspended license. During their investigation, he started sweating profusely and making odd statements, appearing to be on some narcotic. Officers asked Johnson to exit the car for sobriety tests, and he performed poorly. During a subsequent search of his vehicle, they discovered several prescription medications that stated: “May cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery.” As well as an RFID writer device commonly used to scan and clone RFID bank cards. Johnson was taken into custody for driving while license suspended and driving under the influence.

Sarah West has drunken fight at Johnny Cash Museum

32-year-old Sarah West was taken into custody for public intoxication on April 1st. Officers were dispatched to Johnny Cash Museum to a fight-in-progress complaint. When officers arrived, they located West and noticed she reeked of alcohol. She showed numerous signs of intoxication, including being unable to stand on her own, so she was deemed unable to care for herself and was taken into custody.

Barry McClelland Jr. too drunk to care for himself after night on town with deceased cousin’s wife

37-year-old Barry McClelland Jr. was taken into custody for public intoxication on April 1st. Officers were dispatched to Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk for reports of a fight. When officers arrived, they located the two parties in front of the Johnny Cash Museum. One of those involved being McClelland Jr., who was detained for claiming to have a knife. Officers investigated and were advised that there was no scuffle. During their investigation, McClelland Jr. showed multiple signs of impairment. When officers asked him where he was staying, he said, “117 North,” which they told him did not exist, and then McClelland Jr. said, “118 North.” McClelland Jr. stated he left his phone at the hotel because he was going through a divorce and was out on the town with his deceased cousin’s wife. McClelland Jr. was deemed unable to care for himself and was detained.

Seth Waters assaults ex-girlfriend accusing her of being in a relationship with her friend

23-year-old Seth Waters had a domestic altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Jaisha Thompkins, at her Nevada Avenue residence on June 30th, 2022. When officers arrived, Jaisha told them that Waters accused her of having a relationship with one of her friends, sparking an argument that escalated when he struck her on the side of her face. This caused her to fall on her back, where he mounted her and continued hitting her while she tried to defend herself.

Officers spoke with Angela Woods, Jaisha’s next-door neighbor, who stated she heard the commotion and ran to the residence. Once inside, Angela went to the bedroom and observed the two fighting and Waters on top of Jaisha, so she tried to break it up. After she realized she couldn’t, she grabbed Jaisha’s two children and took them to her house to care for their safety. Officers deemed Waters as the primary aggressor and issued a warrant for his arrest. Waters was taken into custody for domestic assault on April 3rd, 2024.

DUI: police say Tammy Boone reeks of alcohol during traffic stop

59-year-old Tammy Boone was taken into custody for driving under the influence on April 4th. Officers responded to a call for service regarding Boone’s vehicle in traffic and conducted a traffic stop near Hemmingway Drive and Hillsboro Pike. She was slow to comply with their emergency equipment but eventually stopped and was removed from her car. Once removed, officers noticed she was unsteady on her feet and reeked of alcohol, so they asked if she would perform sobriety tests, but she declined. During a search, officers discovered a small white and blue pill labeled “I59,” which she claimed no ownership or knowledge of. She was then taken into custody and transported to booking.

Anthony Martin threatens Public Storage customers with a brick

32-year-old Anthony Donte Martin was wielding a brick, allegedly threatening customers and employees at Public Storage on 3rd Avenue South on April 3rd. When officers arrived, they observed him holding a rock, which he dropped after noticing them. He then stood in a fighting stance against Officer William Wright and moved toward him, yelling and displaying aggressive behavior. When additional officers arrived, Martin began to comply with their commands. He was then taken into custody for the assault of an officer and disorderly conduct.

Kendy Alvarado scratches husband after provoking argument

25-year-old Kendy Meliza Alvarado had a domestic altercation with her husband, Jose Rapalo-Cortes, at their Tampa Drive condominium on April 2nd. Officers responded to an unrelated call for service when Alvarado flagged them down. Eventually, Rapalo-Cortes came outside as well and told officers that he and Alvarado had been arguing recently. He then said he was asleep when she entered their room and provoked him to start an argument. She jumped on top of him and started scratching him, leaving visible marks on the front and back of his neck. Alvarado was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.
