DUI: Anthony Collett has “only one” drink before driving towards oncoming traffic in his Tesla

36-year-old Anthony Collett drove the wrong way down a road towards oncoming traffic in his blue Tesla early January 1st. Trooper Duncan was working a DUI checkpoint and conducted a traffic stop when he observed this. Collett admitted to having “only one” alcoholic beverage, consented to sobriety tests, and performed poorly. Collett was taken into custody for driving under the influence and implied consent.

Glenn Parker, 71, strangles wheelchair bound ex-lover at Senior Living Community Chippington Towers II

71-year-old Glenn Irvin Parker had an altercation with his ex-lover, Dawn Myatt, at her apartment at Chippington Towers II on Coreland Drive on January 7th, where Parker also lived in a separate apartment. Myatt advised officers that she and Parker argued in her apartment when he strangled her from behind to the point of losing consciousness as she sat in her wheelchair. Parker told them that he stayed the night with Ms. Myatt, argued with her, and admitted to putting his hands on her but insisted he was only hugging her from behind to calm her down. Parker also stated he had consumed alcohol earlier in the day. A neighbor reported that she heard Ms. Myatt screaming. She was transported to the hospital for further examination. Parker was taken into custody for aggravated assault and remains jailed.

Timothy Ayala charged in assault of his ex-lover

24-year-old Timothy Ayala was jailed Monday on an outstanding warrant from late December. Keria Horsely, who is the mother of his child, called police on December 29 after an argument about her moving back to California turned physical. She says that as soon as she placed the baby in the crib, Ayala grabbed her and pinned her to the bed, leaving red welt-type marks on her arms, which were documented by police. She bit him to escape, and he then fled the scene.

Brittney McNeal charged in theft from father’s houseboat

31-year-old Brittney Nicole McNeal was caught on camera stealing from her dad’s, Jefferey Allen McNeal’s, 1978 Chris-Craft Catalina 30’ houseboat at the Four Corners Marina on Lavergne Couchville Pike on September 9th. Mr. McNeal advised officers that he had a video showing Brittney stealing a Ryobi Pressure Washer, a Bluetooth wireless speaker, and a luggage cart. He told them that she texted him prior to the incident to see where he was, and when he confronted her with a video and possible charges, she replied, “Cool, good luck.” A warrant was issued for her arrest in September, and she was taken into custody last week on the outstanding charge.

19-year-old Sherrekia Kitchens jailed after breaking into ex-boyfriend’s house

19-year-old Sherrekia Kitchens was jailed on January 8th after breaking into her ex-boyfriend’s house on Carter Avenue. Todd Easly called the police and told them that Sherrekia had broken in through his basement window and was currently kicking down the basement door. He confirmed that he owned the house and that Sherrekia didn’t live there. Once inside the house, Sherrekia assaulted Todd by grabbing his wrist while he was on the phone with dispatch. Officers observed bruising to Todd’s wrist and forced entry to the basement window and door. Todd stated that he was afraid Sherrekia would harm him. Sherrekia Kitchens was taken into custody and charged with aggravated burglary and vandalism.

Andrew Boesel believes police are his Uber ride after drunken walk in West Nashville

26-year-old Andrew Boesel was drunkenly walking on the roadway near Charlotte Pike & 31st Ave just before 4 p.m. Monday, according to at least three callers to emergency services. He was stumbling when officers arrived and grabbed onto a stranger to balance himself. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and had attempted to enter someone’s car. He told officers he had been walking downtown and asked to be released so he could “continue his journey.” At one point during the interaction, he believed responding officers to be his Uber ride. For his safety, Boesel was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Nicholas Jones booked on outstanding warrant for stealing man’s iPhone 13 in September

29-year-old Nicholas Jones was with an unknown individual at Pie Town Tacos when they were closed on late December 29th. Officers encountered the two individuals while patrolling the area. Officers then engaged them in conversation, and Jones provided them with his license. When officers ran record checks, they were notified Jones had an outstanding warrant for his arrest regarding a theft that occurred at the Whiskey River Saloon in September. Jones was identified as the individual who stole Kevin Keith’s iPhone 13. Additionally, Jones had a glass pipe commonly used to ingest cocaine on his person during a subsequent search. Nicholas Jones was taken into custody for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and failure to be booked on a state citation regarding the Whiskey Saloon incident.

Ethan Carey chases people around, tells police he was “sent from the sky and ordered to slaughter ground people”

21-year-old Ethan Lynn Carey chased citizens on foot in front of Hermitage Avenue on December 30th. Officers observed this, stopped him, and noticed he had pinpoint pupils. He was unaware of what city he was in and advised officers that he was “sent from the sky and ordered to slaughter ground people.” Carey was deemed a danger to himself and was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Kevin Garfias charged with DUI after speeding & weaving through traffic

23-year-old Kevin Garfias was speeding down Nolensville road and weaving between lanes early Sunday morning when he passed officers who were on an unrelated call. A traffic stop was conducted near Radnor Street, and Garfias was reportedly visibly intoxicated when speaking with officers. An open beer was also observed in the cup holder of the vehicle. He refused all field sobriety tests, and admitted to coming from a bar — but stated he did not consume any alcohol. Another bottle of open alcohol was also found in the vehicle during a search. Garfias was taken into custody and charged with DUI.

Michael Stephen Hughes, 18, indicted on rape charge in Nashville

18-year-old Michael Stephen Hughes, the son of Michael Scott & Donna Hughes in Franklin, has been indicted by a Davidson County Grand Jury on one count of rape. The incident is alleged to have occurred in mid-March of 2023 when he is alleged to have knowingly engaged in the unlawful sexual penetration of the victim, using force or coercion. The Grand Jury indicted Hughes during their December 6 session, and he was taken into custody on January 5. He is free on a $100,000 bond.
