ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT: |
The victim and the defendant were in a dating relationship and lived together. The victim advised she and the defendant live in Clarksville, TN. On 9/4/21 she expressed to the defendant that she wanted to go to Nashville, TN for a night out.
Initially, the defendant did not want to go but decided to accompany the victim anyway. The two visited Chuy’s Mexican Restaurant in Opry Mills and then went to Jason Aldean’s downtown. The victim advised the defendant was not in a good mood and continuously spoke to her in a demeaning manner all night. The defendant then told the victim they were leaving at 12 am, so the victim told him they might as well leave now. Once they were back to the car the verbal altercation continued and the victim refused to drive since she’d been drinking. The victim stated the defendant grabbed her by the back of her neck and slammed her head into the dashboard and steering wheel several times. The defendant tried to defend herself and at one point was strangled outside the vehicle in a parking lot. She advised the defendant then stood behind her car as she tried to leave and fired his firearm into the air a couple of times before he got back inside the vehicle. The victim managed to drive until she saw officers and exited the car. The victim injuries were not visible at the time of the report according to the reporting officers. When the victim presented at the Family Safety Center on 9/10/21 she provided photos of the injuries consistent with her statements; therefore, a warrant for Aggravated Assault-Strangulation is being sought. There were scratches on the sides of her neck and the back region of her neck was bruised severely. |
