Too drunk for Broadway: Collierville man causes scene at Nashville Underground — Thomas Mathews

24-year-old Thomas Mathews was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail early Sunday morning after police observed him exiting Nashville Underground at 105 Broadway, and pushing both patrons and staff, being unsteady on his feet and causing a disturbance. While no one wanted to prosecute for the assaults, he was too intoxicated to care for himself. Officers transported him to booking, and he was charged with public intoxication.

26-year-old Bethlehem Weimer was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail early Sunday morning after security at Tin Roof Broadway contacted police due to how unruly she was becoming inside the bar. She was refusing to leave, and officers after multiple warning, she was placed into custody by officers. As they attempted to cuff her, she pulled away and kicked Officer Dibernardo in the leg twice. She continued kicking and screaming once inside the cruiser and eventually had to be hobble restrained. She was transported to booking, charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest, and assault of an officer. She is free on a $3,500 bond.

Police offer to help intoxicated man find a ride home, he chose jail instead — Ryan Baker arrested #VisitMusicCity

Metro Nashville Police say they attempted to help find 23-year-old Ryan Baker a ride home after he got into a fight with his brother near the pedestrian bridge late Saturday night, in an effort to avoid being arrested due to his extremely intoxicated state, but he wasn’t having any part in their assistance. They couldn’t leave him there, as he was unable to care for himself, so he was booked into custody, charged with public intoxication. He yelled, screamed, and caused a dramatic scene during his arrest.

DUI: Woman blows double BAC limit after Jell-O Shots & Mike’s Hard Tall Boy — Sarah Mays

21-year-old Sarah Mays says she had a “few Jell-O Shots” and a “Mike’s Hard Tall Boy” at a bar prior to driving Friday night. Once on the road, police say she told them she was just “following her GPS” after she was stopped for making a left turn from a right-turn-only lane. During the traffic stop, officers reportedly smelled alcohol and noticed her slurred speech. She agreed to perform field sobriety tests, all of which indicated intoxication. Her breathalyzer result was over twice the legal limit, a 0.169 BAC. She was transported to jail, charged with DUI, and is free on pre-trial release.

Drunk soldier arrested after pooping pants at BNA while transporting 9 assault rifles— Donovan Paywa

22-year-old recent Air Assault graduate Donovan Paywa was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Saturday afternoon after being refused service at Cafe Vino inside the Nashville Airport due to him having defecated on himself. The soldier was transporting 9 assault rifles aboard the aircraft and consumed three mixed drinks while inside the terminal. As staff noticed he had feces inside his jeans they alerted airport police, who arrived to find staff having to prop the soldier up, as he could no longer stand on his own without assistance. Officers advised Paywa he could call someone to come get him, go to the hospital to sober up and get checked out, or be arrested for public intoxication.

He repeatedly declined any assistance and started screaming “F-ck You” across the terminal, causing quite the scene. He was informed he was under arrest, and he refused to comply with the process, eventually having to be taken down by Airport Police by force as a passenger who happened to be an MP attempted to calm the young soldier, who then told the arresting officers “Your family is dead!”. Paywa was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to jail, where he was released and his case dismissed after an eight-hour intoxication hold. His social media shows him catching a return flight to New Mexico on Sunday.

Man threatens to ‘Ted Bundy’ girlfriend and send nudes to her ex-husband — Corey Roberts arrested

21-year-old Corey Roberts, of Louisville, is charged with domestic assault after he refused to leave his girlfriend’s Nashville apartment and the couple got into an argument, which led to him threatening to send adult photos which she was in to her ex-husband. His girlfriend, Kristin Sayad, reportedly took his phone and he grabbed her wrist, bending her fingers back, pulled her hair and said “I’m going to Ted Bundy you!”. She fled the apartment in fear and called police. Roberts is free on a $1,500 bond.

Son of Nashville Socialites charged in brutal rape, aggravated rape, sexual battery & more — Blake Solarek

25-year-old Blake Solarek is free on a $75,000 bond, charged with 5 counts of sexual battery, 3 counts of rape, and 1 count each of assault, aggravated assault, and aggravated rape. Blake is the son of divorcing Nashville socialites Troy Solarek, of The Dotted Line, and artist manager Mitch Solarek. A Grand Jury indicted Solarek on all 11 counts earlier this month, and he was taken into custody Thursday, and immediately posted bond via Grumpy’s.

The Grand Jury indictment alleges all the incidents occurred on January 1st of 2021, charging Blake Solarek with 5 counts of unwanted sexual contact with then 18-year-old M.N.Y., 3 incidents of sexual penetration without consent, he caused M.N.Y. to be fear injury from being strangled, caused injury from an additional act of penetration of M.N.Y., and caused other injures to the victim. Solarek is represented by Byron Pugh.

Nashville Rapper ‘Big Geeche’ charged with assaulting yet another girlfriend — AKA Calvin Woods

27-year-old Calvin Woods Jr., who prefers to be known as ‘Big Geeche’, and has a recent release titled “Found Guilty”, is once again charged with assaulting a lover. In this most recent case, his girlfriend, Cayla Yates, called 911 to report he grabbed her by the throat with both hands as she attempted to stop him from taking a pair of AirPods, which he had bought for her, from her purse. She eventually grabbed a knife in what she describes as “self-defense”, and says he cut his own hand by grabbing it. Woods told police during an interview that he only pushed her away when she pulled a knife on him. He was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody. He is charged with aggravated assault/strangulation and is free on a $10,000 bond.

In 2018, Woods was charged with the assault of a former girlfriend after police documented laceration injuries of the female he wrestled to the ground and tossed her phone in a dumpster so she couldn’t call 911. DA Glenn Funk retired those charges, as long as he promised to not get in trouble again. A few months later, Woods was charged with dragging the same girlfriend across the floor by her hair in front of children, after he punched her in the face multiple times. Police also documented those injures, but DA Glenn Funk refused to move forward with the prosecution in July of this year when the girlfriend backed out of testifying, despite the already collected evidence.

North Carolina tourist drunk and fighting in downtown Nashville — Nathan James Alderman arrested

24-year-old Nathan Alderman, from North Carolina, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail after police found him in downtown Nashville standing over another person who he was fighting, and wasn’t letting the person get up off the ground. Officers commanded him to step away so the situation could de-escalate but he refused and would not obey any commands from police. Due to his extreme level of intoxication, he was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

DUI Crash: Travel Nurse refuses care because “I’m a nurse”, resists arrest, handgun — Megan Thaggard

32-year-old Travel Nurse Megan Elizabeth Thaggard is jailed in lieu of a $7,500 bond after police found her crashed into a crosswalk pole in downtown Nashville. When they attempted to provide her with medical assistance she refused, declaring “I don’t need care, because I’m a traveling RN!” She would eventually blow a 0.151 % BAC on a breathalyzer after admitting to drinking prior to driving. She also had a 9mm Kimber loaded with hollow-point bullets in the car within her reach. She actively resisted arrest for several minutes until police were eventually able to get her into custody. She was transported a few hundred feet to booking and charged with DUI, handgun under the influence, resisting arrest, and no insurance.
