24-year-old Nathan Alderman, from North Carolina, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail after police found him in downtown Nashville standing over another person who he was fighting, and wasn’t letting the person get up off the ground. Officers commanded him to step away so the situation could de-escalate but he refused and would not obey any commands from police. Due to his extreme level of intoxication, he was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

| On 11/29/2021, officers were dispatched to a fight at 303 Demonbreun Street. Upon arrival, officers observed the defendant standing over the other involved person not letting him get up off the ground. The defendant was asked to stay away from the person so officers could determine what was going on. The defendant was yelling and not listening to the officer’s verbal commands. The defendant was arrested for public intoxication as he had slurred speech, water eyes, and smelled of alcohol. The defendant’s level of intoxication and actions of chasing and standing over people made him a danger to himself and others. |
