Cole Steele charged after smashing cinderblock into car, passing out inside as he burglarizes it

Multiple witnesses observed 23-year-old Cole Steele looking into car windows and rummaging through vehicles in the 700 block of 18th Ave S. around 1 a.m. Saturday, where he eventually smashed a cinderblock into a grey Nissan Versa belonging to Zamira Vasquez multiple times, destroying the driver’s side window. He began to rummage through the vehicle and then passed out inside. As medics arrived, he fled the area. Just after 2 a.m., officers received more calls about him in the 800 block of the same street, and he was taken into custody. Steele told officers he only broke into his own vehicle after someone vandalized it, and had no idea about anything else.

Magistrate sets $20 bond for Monica Spendlove, who put roommate’s belongings by the dumpster

Metro Nashville Police responded to Views on the Cumberland, where Ashley Nall reported her roommate, Caroline Hathaway, messaged her to advise that another roommate,39-year-old Monica Spendlove, was throwing some of Nall’s personal items. Officers made contact with Spendlove, who admitted to entering Nall’s room and putting some of her things outside near a dumpster for disposal. Some of the property included a Yeti cooler and Vanderbilt coasters. The property’s value was estimated at $300.

Airport Police were dispatched to the South TSA security checkout Sundayfter afternoon, where they found 63-year-old Debra Lore (Pisciotta)Terrell who was heavily intoxicated, reeked of alcohol, shaking, and generally unable to function at the checkpoint without assistance. She informed Airport Police she upset with TSA as they were taking too long to screen her. Soon after, a Southwest manager informed her she would not be flying with them today due to her level of intoxication, and her flight was rescheduled for the next day, however Debra became enraged and demanded a refund instead, stating that her travel agent handles all of her bookings and Southwest obliged.

With no travel plan, no tickets, and no way she could fly that drunk, she was told to leave the airport. Officers offered her a cab to a nearby hotel so she could make arrangements with her travel agent; however, she refused all efforts, stating: “I only take black cars!” It turns out she also takes blue and white cars, with light bars and cages, which was her transportation to downtown booking, where she spent the next eight hours making friends with the locals until she sobered up.

Dustin Brown too drunk for Nudie’s Honky Tonk; resists arrest & damages a taser in downtown Nashville

34-year-old Dustin Brown was kicked out of Nudie’s Honkey Tonk on Friday but soon returned to the venue and sat in the open window of the location, where he continued to cause issues with staff. He refused to leave a second time and was physically removed from the property and taken to the ground by security, where he received some facial abrasions, which were treated by medics. Police took him into custody for public intoxication and criminal trespass. While attempting to place him into custody and conduct a search, Brown repeatedly pulled away from officers and refused to get into the transport car. While one officer was holding his feed to place him into the car, Brown kicked his taser and broke the battery portion of the device.

Musician Luke Matthew Skeldon charged with DUI after leaving Flamingo Cocktail Club

Police say 28-year-old Luke Matthew Skeldon was speeding as he drove past officers on Nolensville Pike at 3:08 a.m. Saturday, when he was paced at 65 mph in a 45 mph zone. When a traffic stop was initiated, he was slow to pull into a parking lot and appeared extremely intoxicated during the interaction. Skeldon stated he was leaving the Flamingo Cocktail Club, where he had three mixed drinks before driving. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, Skeldon was given a breathalyzer and taken into custody. The warrant details a 0.70 BAC, which MNPD confirmed was a typo, but they did not provide the actual BAC prior to publication.

Connor Cunningham pumps gas while friend overdoses, found with Xanax & heroin

19-year-old Connor Cunningham was at the gas pump at a Murfreesboro Pike gas station when an officer observed his front seat passenger appear to be overdosing with their head tilted back and eyes rolling backward. Concerned for their well-being, the officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop; however, Cunningham exited the parking lot, drove on the street, and pulled back into the parking lot while going very slow and attempting to wake the overdosing passenger while exchanging an item hand to hand. As medical arrived to assist, the passenger admitted they were both under the influence of several Xanax bars at the time. A vehicle search revealed 12 grams of a crystal substance in three baggies, believed to be methamphetamine, and a clear baggy with 2 grams of a tan substance believed to be heroin.

Ja’Corious Hudson charged after fight outside Lucky Bastard Saloon in downtown Nashville

Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville Friday night observed 19-year-old Ja’Corious Hudson outside of Lucky Bastard Saloon yelling and pushing at another individual in an attempt to instigate a fight. As officers approached and advised him to move along, Hudson continued to push the other individual. He was taken into custody and pulled away from officers during the arrest, earning him a resisting charge in addition to disorderly conduct.

Cameron Mowrer resists arrests & booking after causing disturbance in downtown Nashville

Just after 1:30 a.m. Friday, officers working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville observed 26-year-old Cameron Mowrer just outside 404 Broadway, where he was refusing to leave the location, pushing the security staff, and appeared intoxicated. After he continued to refuse to leave, he was taken into custody for public intoxication but refused to be seated in the transport car. Several officers placed him into the vehicle, and he was transported to booking where he refused to exit and had to be removed from the vehicle by multiple officers. He was then forced off the floor while still resisting, and taken inside to booking.

Nicholas Vitale charged after threatening texts: “U took my heart I take your family”

Metro Nashville Police say 40-year-old Nicholas Vitale has been sending threats to his newly ex-girlfriend, Kimberly Mezouar, after she told him she was ending the relationship and could not be with him anymore. He reportedly was staying around her apartment complex while sending text messages such as “U took my heart I take your family” and then telling her he wanted to put a board in front of her face with a nail and hammer it in. He continued to send photos of her children.

Nashville Police Officer held in a Mexican jail after bringing a handgun into the country

BREAKING: Metro Nashville Police Officer Lemandries ‘LD’ Deshun Hawes is currently being held in a jail in Mexico after bringing a handgun into the country on July 9th. He reportedly declared the personally owned pistol with the airline, however, it is still a federal crime to bring any handgun or ammunition into the country, with a standard sentence of 5 years imprisonment if found guilty. Lemandries is scheduled to have a hearing in Mexico today. Hawes was scheduled to be married on July 8th, and was arrested on the evening of July 9th in Cancun as he landed at the airport to celebrate his honeymoon with Khristian Hawes. Hawes was a lateral transfer from the Memphis Police Department. This is a developing story.
