DUI: Taylor Johnson calls police for domestic incident with boyfriend, jailed after blowing .144% BAC

24-year-old Taylor Johnson had a domestic incident with her boyfriend in the afternoon hours of April 28th. When officers arrived, they located Johnson in her driver’s seat, distraught from the domestic occurrence. Johnson then admitted splitting a Margarita Pitcher with her boyfriend at Soho for her birthday. During their interaction, officers noticed an open alcohol container in her car. Officers prompted Johnson to perform sobriety tests, which she consented to and performed poorly. After being informed of implied consent, Johnson agreed to a breath sample, resulting in 0.144% BAC. Johnson was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Jake Paul Impersonator “DoubleTakeJake” shadowboxes police officers – Bobby Wimberly

29-year-old Jake Paul Impersonator Bobby Michael Wimberly, aka “Double Take Jake,” was observed being belligerent, yelling and screaming near Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk in the early hours of April 28th while Officers were responding to an unrelated medical call. The officers then spoke with Wimberly and noticed he showed signs of impairment, so they tried to get him a taxicab, which he refused. His girlfriend even tried to get a cab, but he declined again. After this, Wimberly tried to shadowbox with officers, so they attempted to detain him, and he started pulling his arms away. Wimberly was taken into custody for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication.

Fox Gareth refuses to leave The Night We Met Club after being deemed “extremely intoxicated”

35-year-old Fox Gareth was being disorderly at The Night We Met Club on 12th Avenue North in the early hours of April 28th. When officers arrived, they noticed Gareth and the security at the establishment standing outside. Officers spoke with security, who stated that Gareth was “extremely intoxicated” and distracted them from their job. Security advised they told Gareth several times to leave the establishment, but he refused. Then, officers spoke with Gareth, who showed multiple signs of inebriation and gave nonsensical, slurred responses to their questions. The officers warned Gareth to show them his identification and leave, which he disregarded. Gareth was then deemed a danger to himself and was taken into custody for public intoxication.

DUI: Bryan Berninger crashes twice on Charlotte Pike, says he didn’t “drink to get drink”

25-year-old Bryan Berninger was involved in a car accident with injuries near Charlotte Pike and 22nd Avenue North late April 27th. When officers arrived at the scene of the crash, they were approached by Veronica Renee Edwards, who advised them that an individual, later identified as Berninger, had crashed into her vehicle also at another location further down the road. Officers located Berninger in the driver’s seat and had him exit his car. He showed signs of impairment and got into the back of an ambulance, where he stated he had drank earlier at a “sampler” and that he was not there to “Drink to get drink,” later clarifying that he had meant “drunk.”

Officers reported that “When asked about the other crash further down the road, Berninger stated he could not recall another crash. He stated what had caused the initial crash was that the “vehicles in front” of him “stopped,” but he “did not stop.” Officers located a handgun on the passenger side floorboard, which he claimed was his. Berninger was then transported to Meharry General Hospital, where officers followed and prompted him with a sobriety test, in which he showed multiple signs of intoxication and smelled strongly of alcohol. He agreed to provide a blood sample and, under Miranda, requested a lawyer. Berninger was released from the hospital and then was taken into custody for failure to give information, leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence, and possession of a weapon while under the influence.

Birthday Boy Brody Jenkins resists arrest after yelling at people on Broadway

25-year-old Brody Jenkins caused a disturbance near 10th Avenue North and Broadway on his birthday, April 27th. Officers were advised that he was yelling at random citizens and walking towards 12th Avenue North. Officers located him in the middle of The Broadway Bridge, where he was seated on the sidewalk, crying and visibly upset. Jenkins told officers it was his birthday, and he had been drinking. Jenkins then refused to provide officers with his identification. Officers noticed he reeked of alcohol, showing numerous signs of intoxication, so they detained him. As Jenkins was detained, he continued cursing at citizens who walked by. Jenkins then started to “tense up” on officers and had to be restrained against their patrol car.  Jenkins was then taken into custody for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and public intoxication.

Kristen Dedeaux deemed too drunk for Nashville International Airport

38-year-old Kristen Renee Dedeaux was observed slumped over in her wheelchair near Gate C 14 at Nashville International Airport around 6:15 p.m. on April 27th. Upon arrival, officers noticed her head was down, and she appeared to be sleeping. Officers then approached her and introduced themselves. As Dedeaux provided officers with her identification, she showed signs of impairment with a strong alcoholic odor on her person. She showed officers her boarding pass for a Spirit flight to Orlando, Florida, departing at 6:30 p.m. Dedeaux was unaware she was in the wrong terminal and would not make it onto her flight. Officers advised her that she would need to rebook and asked her if she could walk, which she said she could. However, when Dedeaux stood up to walk, she nearly fell over, and an officer had to catch her so she would not hit the ground. Dedeaux was deemed a danger to herself and others and then was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Justin Brooks sexually assaults employee at Vanderbilt Medical Hospital, says he was “Just trying to get to know her”

33-year-old Justin Remero Brooks inappropriately touched a Vanderbilt Medical Hospital employee, Marie Yadira Perdomo, on the afternoon of April 26th. When officers arrived, they were advised that Perdomo was secured in a locked breakroom and that the incident happened on the 7th floor in the elevator lobby waiting room. Officers were provided with camera footage of the occurrence and a description of Brooks. Officers spoke with Perdomo, who stated she was sitting in the waiting room watching a movie when an unknown individual, later identified as Brooks, sat beside her and started conversing with her. She said Brooks began asking her what her name was and what she did at Vanderbilt. Perdomo said he told her his name was Justin, and he was visiting his mom. During their conversation, Brooks told Perdomo that he wanted to come to her house, cook for her, shower with her, and watch Netflix, to which she replied, “No thanks, I have a boyfriend.” Brooks replied, “That does not matter,” and stood up to take a phone call. After he finished the call, he walked over to Perdomo, leaned over, and kissed her on the forehead so she pushed him away. Perdomo then got a call from a nurse, during which she tried to ignore Brooks, hoping he would leave her alone. Brooks then started touching her on the stomach and telling her inappropriate things.

Officers asked her what Brooks said, and she broke down in tears, stating she did not want to tell them. Perdomo said he stood up and started messing with his waistband, telling her, “Come on baby, you know you want this.” Perdomo ignored Brooks and walked towards the elevators. While Perdomo walked away, Brooks asked her where she was going and invited her to eat in the hospital cafeteria, to which she replied, “I do not think so.” She said he asked what floor she was heading to, and she told him a different floor, believing he would try to find her again. Perdomo immediately left and called her sister. While Perdomo filled out her statement, officers located Brooks and asked if he encountered anyone in the waiting room lobby. Brooks was initially vague about the occurrence until officers advised him there was camera footage. Brooks then corroborated Perdomo’s statements, leaving out the part where he kissed her forehead and touched her stomach. He was adamant that nothing was forced and that he was “Just trying to get to know her.” Brooks was then taken into custody for sexual battery on April 27th.

Chris Allard unable to find his Airbnb after being found drunk outside MNPD Central Precinct

36-year-old Chris Allard showed signs of impairment near the MNPD Central Precinct on Korean Veterans Boulevard in the early hours of April 26th. Officers observed this, and asked Allard if he was okay. Allard told them that he was trying to find his Airbnb, adding that he was staying at “South of Broadway.” He could not provide officers the address to his Airbnb. Allard also could not find his phone or wallet. Officers drove him to Hyatt House and spoke to hotel staff, who told them Allard did not have a room assigned to him. Officers then deemed Allard unable to care for himself and detained him. Allard was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Mark Hutchins steals roommate’s Ford F-150 while he’s away

22-year-old Mark Hutchins was taken into custody for theft on April 26th. On January 1st, Dakota Wiseman, one of Hutchins’s roommates, reported that he met Hutchins at a motorcycle club and invited him to stay with them to help with rent. Wiseman said he left the residence in December 2023 and returned on March 5th, 2024. When Wiseman returned, he discovered that Hutchins had taken the keys to his 2017 gray Ford F-150 truck and 2016 gray Aprilia Tuono Motorcycle. Wiseman said he noticed his truck parked outside his garage with three broken windows. Hutchins had tried to obtain a key fob from the office, but they refused. Wiseman’s other roommate said they observed Hutchins take the keys and drive both vehicles. Hutchins admitted to taking and using Wiseman’s vehicles without his permission. The truck and motorcycle are valued at $25,000. Hutchins was detained for the incident.

Brandon Gahagan calls someone a “Dumb N*gger” while belligerent at Barstool Nashville

26-year-old Brandon Wade Gahagan was taken into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct on April 27th. Around 2 a.m., officers dispersed a crowd near Barstool Sports when Gahagan approached them regarding an incident inside the location. During the conversation, officers noticed Gahagan reeked of alcohol and showed multiple signs of inebriation. When officers walked across the street to take a statement from Gahagan, he started spewing racial slurs, calling another involved party a “Dumb N-word.” Officers advised Gahagan that he was extremely intoxicated and tried getting his friends to supervise him to avoid taking him to jail, but he refused help. Gahagan kept calling the officers “Bitches,” and requested to be arrested. He was then taken into custody for the occurrence.
