25-year-old Brody Jenkins caused a disturbance near 10th Avenue North and Broadway on his birthday, April 27th. Officers were advised that he was yelling at random citizens and walking towards 12th Avenue North. Officers located him in the middle of The Broadway Bridge, where he was seated on the sidewalk, crying and visibly upset. Jenkins told officers it was his birthday, and he had been drinking. Jenkins then refused to provide officers with his identification. Officers noticed he reeked of alcohol, showing numerous signs of intoxication, so they detained him. As Jenkins was detained, he continued cursing at citizens who walked by. Jenkins then started to “tense up” on officers and had to be restrained against their patrol car.  Jenkins was then taken into custody for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and public intoxication.
