Brittany Marcus told police she caught her 34-year-old boyfriend, Ronnie Gipson, cheating on her and became frustrated. She says she knocked over a lamp and broke it in her anger. In response, she says Ronnie rushed her and hit her in the face. He admitted to slapping her in the face during an interview.

Tourist Jillian O’Donnell charged with assault of boyfriend, says he cheated during Nashville trip
23-year-old Jillian O’Donnell told police that her boyfriend, Ryan Drysdale, cheated on her during their trip to Nashville, which caused them to get into a physical altercation. She admits to slapping him on his right ear, causing a laceration injury, which was documented by police. O’Donnell, who is from the United Kingdon, was given a $100 bond.
Christina Johnson pours water on husband to wake him up to discuss their relationship
53-year-old Christina Beatrice Johnson is charged with the domestic assault of her husband, Augustine Odinukaeze. She reportedly believed he was cheating due to calls to his phone coming from different area codes, so while he was asleep in bed, she threw water on him to wake him up, so they could discuss the matter. He says he attempted to leave the room, but she blocked his way and smacked him in the face during the argument. She then reportedly threatened to shoot him.
Julia Krogh pulls gun on her boyfriend & assaults him when she discovers he’s cheating on her
Brian Reed told Metro Nashville Police that his girlfriend, 20-year-old Julia Krogh, sent him a text message to come home and move out when she found out he was cheating on her. He arrived at the Antioch residence and found her armed with his gun. An altercation ensued, the two wrestled, and he eventually took control of the gun, but not before she punched him in the face and shattered the screen of his phone. During questioning, Krogh told police she “got violent” and admitted to punching him and throwing his phone because she knew he was recording.
Ruth Beltran charged with ripping up her husband’s passport during an argument
Police responded to Rothwood Ave after Marcos Martinez contacted police to report his wife, 33-year-old Ruth Beltran, took his passport from their vehicle and ripped it up before tossing the remaining pieces into a dumpster. Marcos says the two were in an argument about her cheating on him. She had fled the scene before offices arrived and a warrant for her arrest was issued, charging her with vandalism. She was booked on the charge the following day.
Calvin Howse pours syrup in gas tank of cheating wife… tosses bottle at her; “this is just the beginning…”
Earlier this month Quinetta Howse informed her husband, 38-year-old Calvin Howse, that she was seeing another man. Though the two are still married, they have been separated for the past month since she had him arrested for DUI for taking his neighbor’s caddy to the store for more alcohol. Since she disclosed her affair she says he has been repeatedly calling, texting, and showing up at her workplace, friends’ houses, and places she shops, and has texted her “this is just the beginning.” On May 19th, he even followed her to the MNPD’s Family Safety Center where she went to report his harassment, and he pulled up beside her parked car and poured syrup down her gas tank, and tossed the syrup bottle at her. Officers were able to review the video of this incident.
Shakayla Edwards slaps husband, accuses him of cheating during a card game
Police responded to the Comfort Suites at Rivergate Mall on March 27th in reference to a fight in progress. Upon arrival, many people were walking around outside, yelling at each other. The entire group was related to one another, and reportedly were playing a card game when 27-year-old Shakayla Edwards accused her husband, Jerry Edwards, of cheating during the game. He says she did strike him in the face multiple times during the assault. Family members confirmed she had been drinking heavily prior to the assault.
Maria Cucue bites her boyfriend’s hand, which she says he used to text other women
34-year-old Maria Cucue says her boyfriend, Allen Calvillo used the fingers on his hand to text other women. Police say that during an argument on Saturday she bit Allen’s hand. She latched onto his hand with her mouth so hard that Allen says he had to hit her on the back of her head “a few times” to get her to release her grip.
Chad Dunn points gun at girlfriend, then turns it on himself, asking her to “do it” to protect herself from him
West Nashville Police say Erin Smith told her live-in boyfriend, 38-year-old barback Chad Dunn, their relationship was over Saturday evening, and shortly after he grabbed her by the throat with both of her hands and strangled her for approximately fifteen seconds, to the point she came close to losing consciousness. While holding both hands around her neck he then headbutted her. Dunn then grabbed a pistol, pointing it at her chest, stating “I want to protect you”. He then put the gun in her hands and forced her to point it at his forehead, telling her to “do it!”. Smith then fled the apartment with the gun, driving to West Precinct where her injuries were documented and she was treated by medics.
