Christopher Mercado drunkenly throws ex-girlfriend, tells her “Get the fuck out my way!”

45-year-old Christopher Mercado was jailed Thursday night after assaulting his ex-girlfriend at their home on Kirkwall Drive. Heather Brown told officers that she and Mercado live in the same house but are separated and have separate bedrooms. She explained that he came home drunk and became aggressive. He entered her room and followed her into the bathroom while arguing with her. Mercado then began throwing her belongings against the wall and bathroom floor. Heather was cornered and believed that he would hurt her. Mercado then walked up to Heather, said, “Get the fuck out my way,” grabbed her by the wrist, and pushed her against the wall in the bathroom. When Heather told Mercado that she was calling the police, he became upset and responded, “You bitch, I can’t believe you’d do that,” and drove away drunk from the scene.

Thomas Virden assaults wife during child custody dispute

34-year-old Thomas C Virden was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife, Myven Virden, at his apartment on November 18th. Officers arrived, spoke with Thomas, and were advised he and Myven are separated, have a private arrangement regarding the custody of their daughter, and argued over their daughter when she came to pick her up. Thomas told her to leave, but she refused to leave without their child and sat in a chair until he grabbed her and began to force her towards the door. Thomas’s mother filmed the physical altercation and, as officers reviewed it, determined Thomas to be the primary aggressor. Their daughter was released to the care of Myven, and Thomas was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Neal Wright charged in jealous assault of fiancée, Season Hutchins

47-year-old Neal Wright was jailed on November 18th after assaulting his fiancée on Chickadee Circle during a late September incident. According to Realtor Season Hutchins, she received a phone call from an old male friend she hadn’t spoken to in about two and a half years. This caused Wright to become angry and jealous. He took her phone and threw it at her, hitting her in the elbow. She then received another phone call from the old friend, and Wright picked up her phone once again and threw it at her, this time striking her in the chin and leaving a cut. When Hutchins went to call the police, he fled the scene. The cut was bleeding during the duration of the call. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was booked this week.

Ninfa Bulnes-Martinez punches daughter in face multiple times

36-year-old Ninfa Bulnes-Martinez was jailed on November 5th when she brutally assaulted her daughter at their home on Sugar Creek Circle. When the police arrived, they observed the minor with blood on her face, both arms, and her bed sheets. She told police that her mother was upset when she came home late that night. The minor explained to officers that her bed blocked the adjoining door inside her room and that her mother came through the adjacent door and pulled her hair from behind the bedpost while she was asleep. While her hair was being pulled, she was punched in the face multiple times. Blunez told police that her daughter doesn’t listen and admitted she punched her in the face while disciplining her.

Arnulfo Orihuela-Mendez catches boyfriend pleasuring himself, punches him in the face

33-year-old Arnulfo Orihuela-Mendez was arguing with his boyfriend on November 4th. The pair woke up on November 4th and began to be intimate with each other. After this started, Arnulfo’s boyfriend stopped and went to the bathroom for a long time. It turns out that Mendez’s boyfriend was pleasuring himself, which caused Mendez to get very agitated. This led to Mendez pushing his boyfriend and him pushing back, which escalated to Mendez punching him in the eye and causing swelling and bleeding. Law enforcement was duly alerted because of a male, Mendez’s boyfriend, screaming for help. Orihuela-Mendez was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Devonte Thompson punches baby-mama in face multiple times

30-year-old Devonte Thompson was booked Tuesday night after assaulting the mother of his three children on Longstalk Road in Antioch. Corii Bond said the two had gotten into an argument about childcare, so she tried to get in her car to leave, but Thompson followed her, opened her passenger’s side door, and punched her in the face repeatedly. Police observed a contusion and swollen upper lip.

Efrain Santiago Olivero assaults wife, tells children “Mom is about to learn”

29-year-old Efrain Santiago Olivero was jailed after threatening to assault his wife at their home on Hobson Pike. Bergeline Garcia told police that she and her husband got into an argument, and Efrain told their children to go to their room because “mom is about to learn.” He then began to chase her around the apartment. When she realized he wasn’t going to let her leave, she ran into the bathroom. Officers found Efrain on Old Hickory Boulevard and took him into custody. Bergeline told police that she was afraid her husband would hurt her because he had before. She then showed the officers photos from September 18th, where she had bruising on her chin from her husband hitting her. Efrain was taken into custody and charged with false imprisonment and two counts of domestic assault.

Joshua Taylor bitten by wife during infidelity dispute

21-year-old Joshua Taylor was jailed on November 11th after assaulting his wife at their home on Brentridge Place. Joshua advised that he and his wife, Hannah Burton, were arguing due to ongoing marital issues when she tried to leave the apartment. Hannah had the keys to Taylor’s car, and he told her to return them. When she refused, he tried to grab the keys from her hand. She then tried to knee him but missed and was shoved away. She swung her hand at him but missed again. When Taylor tried to take the keys again, Ms. Burton bit his hand. Officers observed the fresh bite mark on his hand. Ms. Burton told police that she caught her husband cheating, and that’s why they started arguing. According to Ms. Burton, her husband was on the phone with his mother, who was telling him to stop her from leaving. She showed the police the missing skin from her fingers as a result of Taylor trying to rip the keys from her hand. She also explained that she bit him because he wrapped his arms around her to restrain her. Due to the injuries and the fact that Taylor initiated the physical altercation, he was taken into custody.

27-year-old Jonathan Enrique Aleman Herrera was involved in a domestic scuffle with his brother, Jefferson Eleazar Aleman Herrera, at Turfway Court on the afternoon of November 12th. Claudia Martinez Morales, Jefferson’s girlfriend, spoke with the officers and told them that she and Jefferson had kicked Jonathan out of their house the day before. His girlfriend, Karla Lara Cartagena, came by to collect the rest of his belongings as Martinez advised her that only she could come in, not Jonathan. Jonathan pushed his way into the house, shoved his brother, and punched him multiple times in the face as they fell to the ground. Then, they were both transported to the Southern Hills Emergency Room.

Jefferson confirmed Martinez’s statements, adding that he felt unconscious after Jonathan punched him. He said he remembered picking up “something” and swinging it but missing Jonathan. He had visible injuries on his eyebrow and collarbone.

Cartagena told officers that Jefferson shoved Jonathan and punched him twice in the face when he stepped into the house. Then, she stated Jefferson picked up a knife, swung it, missed Jonathan, picked up a pan, and then hit him on the head.

Jonathan confirmed Cartagena’s statements, adding that he sustained a cut on his hand from defending himself from the knife. Officers noticed a cut on his hand with dried-up blood around it, two scratches on his midsection, and swelling on his brow.

Both parties were taken into custody for domestic assault.
