Jazell Freeman jailed for punching ex-boyfriend after accusing him of leaking their sex tape

18-year-old Jazell Freeman was jailed for punching her ex-boyfriend in the eye after accusing him of leaking their sex tape. Thomas Clardy and Ms. Freeman dated from September until October 29th. While at school on October 30th, a rumor was started by an unknown party that a sex tape of the two was released, and multiple people had seen it. Mr. Clardy told Freeman that the video didn’t exist and that he had no idea who started the rumor. Later in the day, Freeman confronted Clardy again and became extremely upset, blaming him for it. Clardy told police he tried to calm her down, but she continued to yell about the situation and ended up punching him in the left eye. Mr. Cardy stated that his eye was swollen and hurt, but there was no visible injury at the time of the report.

Justin Baldwin charged with domestic assault; “I’ll choke you out like I did before!”

27-year-old Justin Baldwin was jailed on Wednesday afternoon for threatening a woman on Myatt Drive. Amber Allen told police Baldwin had threatened her multiple times, stating, “I’ll choke you out like I did before” and “If you come over here, I’ll beat your ass, and it won’t end well.” As she drove away from the residence, Baldwin ran after the car with an unknown object in his hand. Due to the past domestic history between the two, Amber feared he would hurt her.

BreAnna Atkins charged with assaulting mother and sister during dispute

19-year-old BreAnna Atkins was involved in a domestic dispute with her mom, Miranda Haygood, and her little sister at their residence on East Old Hickory Blvd on October 27th. Haygood and her younger daughter spoke with deputies as they arrived and stated she was going to report Atkins for child abuse for letting her two-year-old son walk barefoot on the deck outside. In response to this, Atkins assaulted both her mother and her little sister, who tried to stop Atkins from attacking their mother. Officers observed red marks on Haygood’s chest and the little sister’s ear. Atkins admitted to assaulting Haygood and was taken into custody for two counts of domestic assault.

Quintin Humphrey assaults roommate; “Y’all gonna have to team up on me!”

25-year-old Quintin Humphrey was arrested on October 28th for a warrant issued on October 26th for a domestic assault against Alicia Zaludova, his roommate. On 10/26, Zaludova called deputies and stated that when she came home, Humphrey became upset because she was making “too much noise.” A verbal argument ensued in the living room, and Humphrey grabbed Zaludova’s phone and keys before throwing her outside the house and locking the front door. Officers observed bruises on Zaludova’s right elbow but were unable to reach Humphrey for questioning.

On 10/28, deputies were dispatched to Porter Terrace for a call regarding a domestic disturbance and spoke with Zaludova as they arrived. She stated that Humphrey needed to be served an order of protection. Officers noticed Humphrey in the back of the residence as he began to walk towards officers stating he was just going to leave. Humphrey then refused to put his hands behind his back as he was warned about his warrant and told officers, “Y’all gonna have to team up on me” before being taken to the ground. Humphrey was taken into custody for domestic assault and resisting arrest.

Charles Thomas jailed after assault of girlfriend, Dawn Rix; drags her down hallway

59-year-old Charles Thomas was involved in a domestic disturbance with his girlfriend, Dawn Rix, at Cooper Ter. on October 29th. Officers were dispatched to Sarah Marsolek’s, Rix’s neighbor, house and spoke with Rix, who stated that Thomas came over to her house to have a couple of beers, and they talked about where they were in terms of their relationship while he showered. Then, a verbal altercation ensued as Thomas began to make abusive comments toward Rix, and she threw a makeup bag over the shower curtain. Thomas exited the shower and pushed Rix from behind, causing her to fall forward into the living room while stating, “You don’t know who you’re fucking messing with.”

Thomas then reportedly grabbed Rix by the collar of her sweater and dragged her down the hallway before letting her go and getting dressed in the bathroom. Rix was picking coins that fell during the altercation and handed them to Thomas before he threw them at her while he stated, “Use this for your rent.” Rix was standing in the front doorway when Thomas told her, “If you don’t move, I’m going to punch you in the face.” Then, Thomas left for work as Rix went to Marsolek’s house. Officers observed injuries consistent with Rix’s story as Marsolek advised them that she called the police on her behalf. Thomas was arrested on October 30th for domestic assault.

Husband says wife Deborah Knowles “woke up and beat the shit out of me!”

31-year-old Deborah ‘Lowana’ Knowles reportedly got into a domestic dispute with her husband, Daniel Baseman, on October 30th. Baseman spoke with officers as they arrived and told them that his wife “got drunk and beat the shit out of me.” Officers were advised that an argument escalated when Knowles threw an object at Baseman before walking up and punching him four to five times in the face. Then, Baseman went to their bedroom to get away, but Knowles followed and continued to punch him before he punched back in self-defense and walked to his car to get away. Officers located Knowles down the road from the scene and noticed she was visibly intoxicated and unable to answer their questions. Knowles began to be resistive when placed under arrest and was taken into custody for public intoxication, domestic assault, and resisting arrest.

Feras Shoukeir charged in assault of wife after she refuses to have sex with him

43-year-old TSU professor Feras Shoukeir was jailed Monday after assaulting his wife when she reportedly refused to have sex with him. Layale Ajamy told police that Shoukeir walked into her bedroom and asked to have sex with her, but she refused because she had filed for divorce weeks earlier. She stated he hit her in her left arm and shoulder area, pushed her to the floor, and pulled her by her hair. She then went outside to the backyard and called her sister until she finally left the house after several more minutes of arguing and drove to Hermitage Library for assistance. She waited in her car until officers arrived and obtained an Order Of Protection. A warrant was issued for Shoukeir’s arrest.

Rocco Cipriano pushes woman to the ground during attack & holds her down

29-year-old Nicolas “Rocco” Cipriano was involved in a domestic disturbance with Hayley Murphy at Morris Apartments on October 30th. Officers were dispatched and observed Murphy crying on the ground, being comforted by a friend, Mr. Michael Ward Leverrier, when they arrived. Leverrier told officers that he heard Murphy and Cipriano screaming at each other and observed him holding her down on the ground. Then, Leverrier stated he stopped Cipriano from hurting Murphy and told him to walk home due to his level of anger and intoxication. Cipriano let Murphy up after Leverrier told him to calm down. Cipriano was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Brittaney Abrons jailed after throwing objects at ex-boyfriend during argument

35-year-old Brittaney Abrons was jailed on Thursday after an argument with her ex-boyfriend turned violent at their home on Double Tree Lane. Joshua Pittman told police that an argument started when she demanded he move out. She began throwing household items at him when he told her he needed more time. Joshua was able to block most of the items thrown, but one hit him on the hand, resulting in a cut to his finger.

La’Tona Whitson punches boyfriend in face at Hunters Lane High School hallway

18-year-old Hunters Lane High School student La’ Tona Whitson and her boyfriend D.W. have been dating for about nine months, according to police. On Tuesday, it was caught on video that they were walking down the hallway during dismissal and having a discussion. Whitson showed her boyfriend something on her phone and immediately punched him in the face. The video showed the victim bending over while holding his face. He then dropped his phone, stood up, walked to the lockers, and punched them. He was confronted by some other students and a staff member who witnessed it. The administrator investigated the incident the following morning. When police questioned Ms. Whitson, she said she hit him because she was upset about something he did and tried to push his face but accidentally hit him too hard.
