Lance Mankin charged with slapping girlfriend to make her be quiet

21-year-old Lance Mankin was arrested for domestic assault on October 19th at the Hermitage Studios on Central Pike. Officers were dispatched to a call regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Mankin, who stated he got into a verbal argument with Sydney Tousignant, his girlfriend, because another female was looking at him. Mankin admitted to slapping Tousignant because he was tired of her yelling at him about the matter. Tousignant told officers that Mankin slapped her because he wanted her to be quiet.

Terri Sutherland shatters wine glass on boyfriend, covering them both in glass & wine

Sutherland was jailed early Tuesday morning after throwing wine from a glass at her boyfriend during an argument at their home on 9th Avenue. Sutherland admitted to throwing the wine at him but explained that “she wanted to splatter him a little bit.” Allen Thompson stated, “Last night, she got really out of control. She threw a glass of wine at me; most of it went over my head, but then she threw the glass and hit my arm. It didn’t cut me or anything, but it broke into, you know, a hundred pieces.” Sutherland told police that she didn’t intentionally break the glass, and it broke when she was bringing it down from throwing the wine out of it. Based on her admission and Thompson’s statement, Sutherland was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Rachel Badgley assaults boyfriend; kicks him out of the car and makes him walk home

Officers were called to a 3rd Avenue North apartment on October 10 for a domestic disturbance, where they found 26-year-old Rachel Badgley and her boyfriend, Edwin Villalta. The victim states that his girlfriend initiated a physical altercation while they were in her car in Antioch before she made him get out and walk home to their apartment, roughly 10 miles away. Despite the suspect stating that the victim choked her, officers noticed visible injuries only on the victim. Due to the injuries to the victim’s neck and no evidence to the contrary, Badgley was taken into custody the same day for domestic assault.

Zac Stewart assaults girlfriend and friends during drunken bar debacle

27-year-old Zac Stewart was drinking at Neighbors Bar on October 8 when his girlfriend, Evie Clauss, told him that she planned to go back to her home with her friends. Stewart reportedly became angry and grabbed her thumb, bruising it. When the officer observed the victim’s thumb, they noticed that it appeared red and swollen, and had a scratch on the side of it. She also claims that she was unable to move it properly. When his girlfriend insisted on going home with her friends, Stewart tackled another person from the friend group, Chandler May, causing a visible bruise on the victim’s shoulder.

An unnamed friend of all parties stepped in at this point to ensure that Stewart would not fight anyone else and kept him away from the group. After eventually getting away from that friend, Stewart punched another of his girlfriend’s friends, Morgan Brooks. At that point, Clauss and her friends got an Uber home and left Stewart at the bar. When Stewart showed up at the residence with the friend, trying to keep the peace, the victim stated they didn’t want him there, so the friend attempted to escort him out. At that point, he began fighting back against the unnamed friend. The police were called, and Stewart was transferred for medical treatment before being transported to booking.

Joshua Hargrove charged in assault of boyfriend inside bathroom bar

48-year-old Joshua Hargrove was jailed Saturday after reportedly assaulting his boyfriend at a bar. Hargrove told police that he “was inside the bathroom of a gay bar and can’t control the actions of other men inside a bathroom.” He stated that when his boyfriend, Cooper Lowe, came into the bathroom, they began arguing, eventually leading to him grabbing and pushing Lowe. He explained that he can’t control his actions when confronted that way.

Mr. Lowe told police that he caught his boyfriend in the bathroom cheating on him, and when he confronted Hargrove to ask about what he just saw, he “Lost it.” He stated that Hargrove grabbed him by his shoulders, shoved him into a wall, and held him there until security broke them up and kicked them out of the bar. Based on the statements made by both parties, Hargrove was determined to be the primary aggressor and was transported to booking.

Nicola Gayel bites boyfriend, assaults him with a stick; given $100 bond

On October 1st, Officers responded to Litton Ave. about a possible domestic disturbance. Oraysha Stuart, the caller, and his girlfriend, 38-year-old Nicola Gayel, were standing next to each other in the parking lot of their apartment complex when Officers arrived. Officers spoke with Stuart first, and he stated Gayel confronted him about his ex-girlfriend, saying he was hanging out with her and texting her. Stuart then says Gayel became angry and began to grab his shirt and pull him across the parking lot before biting him and hitting him with a stick. Officers then spoke with Gayel, and she confirmed the incident by admitting to confronting Stuart about his ex-girlfriend, biting him, grabbing his shirt, and hitting him with a stick. Due to Gayel’s admissions, she was deemed the aggressor and was taken into custody. Stuart did not wish to prosecute.

Jasmine Meriwether stabs husband after woman flirts with him at a bar

Officers responded to a call regarding a domestic disturbance at Hillmore Dr. on September 11th. Officers spoke with Louis Miller, and he stated that he and his wife, 33-year-old Jasmine Meriweather, went out to the bars when a female started dancing near their table and eventually ended up touching Miller’s arm. He told the female that he was there with his wife, and then Meriweather became upset, so he decided it would be best if they left the area and went to a nearby hookah bar on Antioch Pike, where the couple continued to argue about the female.

Miller stated that in the parking lot of the hookah bar, Meriweather struck him in his left eye, and when he grabbed her to stop her, she bit Miller on his upper chest and then again near his midsection. Miller then stuck his arm out to get away from Meriweather before striking her. Meriweather then rushed towards him, causing them to fall to the ground, and then Miller felt a sharp pain in his calf before noticing it bleeding. Meriweather fled the scene after Miller asked her what she stabbed him with. Officers observed the two bite marks and the puncture wound on his calf.

Heather Miller found boyfriend in bed with another woman when returning from hospital

Officers responded to a call regarding a domestic disturbance on September 23rd at Stones River Cove. Scott Tilley told officers that 44-year-old Heather Miller became angry towards him, grabbed a knife, and threatened to kill him. Tilley then stated he grabbed Miller’s arm to rid her hand of the knife before she began striking him in the chest and shoulders. She returned to rip his shirt before he walked away. Miller told Officers that she found Tilley in bed with another woman when she got home from the hospital. She approached Tilley to grab his shirt and ripped it. Miller told authorities he grabbed her arm, causing it to bruise, and pulled her into the room, slapping her in the face before he left. Officers observed a bruise on Miller’s arm, determined Miller as the primary aggressor, and took her into custody.

Shai Anne Hanley physically kicks girlfriend out of bed; upset about messages on phone

22-year-old Shai Anne Hanley was in bed with her girlfriend, arguing about messages on her girlfriend’s phone on September 27th. She told police that they have had domestic problems since the day before. Shai Anne told her girlfriend, Ariel Huff, to leave the bed, but Ariel refused. She stated that she pushed Ariel out of the bed, and Ariel said that Shai Anne kicked her out, causing her to fall. No injuries were reported on Shai Anne and Ariel, but Shai Anne was determined as the primary aggressor in this incident.

Joseph Friday charged in assault of girlfriend; pushing her, shattering a bowl, bruising her

26-year-old Joseph Friday told police, who showed up at his and his girlfriend’s apartment at Crossroads at the Gulch Apartments, that they argued over her cheating on him. He told police that he did not have any physical altercation with her, Alissa Bloom, but admitted to slapping popcorn out of her hand. Also, he said that Alissa attempted to break down a door while they argued. Alissa told police that during the argument, Joseph pushed a laptop into her, knocking the bowl of popcorn out of her hand, shattering the bowl, and bruising her hand. Police noted the shattered bowl and the bruise on Alissa’s hand. She told police that he also slapped a cell phone across her face. The officers determined Joseph to be the primary aggressor and arrested him for domestic assault.
