DUI: Andrew Grisham drives into wood line near Old Hickory Boulevard after drinking

26-year-old Andrew Blake Grisham drove off the road and into the wood line near Old Hickory Boulevard and Ridgelake Parkway in the early hours of March 6th. When detectives arrived, Grisham emerged from the wood line and advised them he was driving the vehicle. Officers noticed Grisham exhibited signs of intoxication as he refused to do sobriety testing and provide a breath or blood sample. Grisham was taken into custody for driving under the influence and implied consent.

DUI: Anthony Davis drives with no vehicle lights on after one margarita

58-year-old Anthony Davis was seen traveling on Old Hickory Boulevard West without his vehicle lights on March 2nd. An officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with Davis, who admitted to drinking a single margarita. Davis consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and then requested to use a breathalyzer. His BAC was .060%, but the test was taken an hour after the initial stop. The officers conducted a probable cause search of his vehicle and located several small liquor bottles. Anthony Davis was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence and open container.

DUI: Jarred Ferrell caught driving on revoked license with 2 children in car

27-year-old Jarred Ferrell was jailed on March 3rd after a state trooper pulled him over on Donaldson Pike for driving without wearing a seatbelt. The trooper approached the black SUV and advised that in addition to not wearing a seatbelt, Ferrell also had two children strapped improperly in car seats in the vehicle’s back seat. Ferrell advised the trooper that he didn’t have a valid driver’s license and handed over his Tennessee state ID, which revealed his license was revoked for a DUI out of Murray County on February 7th, 2016. As the trooper placed Ferrell under arrest, they could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and asked if he had been drinking. Ferrell admitted to drinking earlier in the morning and consented to a blood sample. A criminal report showed that Ferrell was previously arrested for driving with a revoked license on February 7th, 2019, in Giles County. Ferrell was then transported to the hospital for a blood draw before booking.

DUI: Luke Bippus has four drinks before running stop sign, tells officer “I am too f*cked up”

30-year-old Luke Austin Bippus failed to stop for the Old Dickerson Pike and Dry Creek intersection stop sign on March 4th. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop on Hasty Drive. Officers asked for his driver’s credentials and noticed he exhibited numerous signs of intoxication as he admitted to having four alcoholic beverages at his job. Upon request, Bippus exited his vehicle unsteadily, and officers had to lean him against it to prevent him from falling. When asked if he would do sobriety tests, Bippus replied, “No, I am too f*cked up, and I will fail.” Bippus agreed to provide a blood sample and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

DUI: Brittany Augustine has multiple drinks at Roy’s Tavern before crashing car

31-year-old Brittany Augustine had a single-vehicle accident on Gallatin Pike near Henry James Bar on March 2nd. When officers arrived, they spoke with Augustine, who advised them she had too much to drink at Roy’s Tavern. Augustine reeked of alcohol as she consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Officers informed Augustine about implied consent, and she agreed to provide a blood sample. Augustine stated she had two shots of Rum, one beer, and “a few others.” Augustine was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

DUI: Adam Chance blows 0.209% BAC after crashing Tesla into tree near I-40 West

26-year-old software engineer Adam Chance crashed his black Tesla into a tree on the right shoulder of the exit ramp onto I-40 West in the early hours of March 2nd. When officers arrived, Chance was standing next to his car and advised officers that he was driving westbound on I-40 West when a vehicle reportedly ran him off the road. A witness told officers they saw Chance swerving between lanes with his hazard lights on. The witness also stated that Chance told him he had two alcoholic beverages before the accident. Chance consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and agreed to provide a breath sample as officers noticed him reeking of alcohol. Chance’s breath sample resulted in 0.209 BAC%. Chance failed to blow for the second attempt and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Kyle Bassett charged with DUI when vehicle gets stuck on railroad tracks after drinking in downtown Nashville

25-year-old Kyle Bassett was found in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that was stuck on the railroad tracks on Church Street in downtown Nashville just after 3 a.m. Saturday. He admitted to drinking “some beers” at a bar in downtown Nashville, along with his female passenger, who was the registered owner of the car. Bassett was reportedly confused about where he was and how the vehicle became stuck on the tracks. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He later claimed that the passenger drove the vehicle to the tracks and then swapped places, but she would not answer any questions and remained silent. Bassett and the passenger were taken into custody and charged with DUI-related charges.

DUI: Kaitlin Bamford has 4-5 drinks at Scoreboards before crashing Nissan Altima into ditch

26-year-old Kaitlin Bamford crashed her black Nissan Altima into a ditch on Whites Creek Pike near Haynes Garden Apartments in the early hours of March 1st. NFD personnel spoke with officers as they arrived, advising them that Bamford was sleeping in the driver’s seat when they got there, showing signs of intoxication. Officers talked to Bamford, who admitted to driving after she had 4-5 drinks at Scoreboards. Bamford was transported to Skyline Hospital, where she refused to take sobriety tests but agreed to provide a blood sample. Bamford was taken into custody for driving under the influence-2nd.

34-year-old Aimable Musafiri was involved in a three-car accident near Rice Road and Edge O Lake Drive on February 23rd. Officers arrived and spoke to all parties involved, during which Musafiri admitted to having two beers and taking flu medicine. Officers noticed Musafiri showing signs of intoxication before asking him to participate in sobriety tests. However, Musafiri told officers no and refused to take sobriety tests. Officers then attempted to detain Musafiri, to which he resisted, pushing away from officers. Once Musafiri was arrested and informed of implied consent, he declined to provide a breath sample. Musafiri was taken into custody for driving under the influence, implied consent, and resisting arrest.

DUI: Country Music Singer Dylan Wolfe crashes car on I-24 West, tells police he “looked down at his phone”

29-year-old Country Music Singer Dylan Wolfe had a single-vehicle accident on I-24 West in the early hours of February 29th. Wolfe spoke with officers when they arrived and told them that he “looked down at his phone,” causing the wreck. Then, Wolfe admitted to having three mixed drinks with Crown Royal Apple before driving. Wolfe consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly before refusing to provide a blood sample. During a subsequent search of his vehicle, Officers located a firearm in his center console. Wolfe was taken into custody for driving under the influence, implied consent, and weapon possession while under the influence.
