30-year-old Luke Austin Bippus failed to stop for the Old Dickerson Pike and Dry Creek intersection stop sign on March 4th. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop on Hasty Drive. Officers asked for his driver’s credentials and noticed he exhibited numerous signs of intoxication as he admitted to having four alcoholic beverages at his job. Upon request, Bippus exited his vehicle unsteadily, and officers had to lean him against it to prevent him from falling. When asked if he would do sobriety tests, Bippus replied, “No, I am too fucked up, and I will fail.” Bippus agreed to provide a blood sample and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
