Mad about a breakup, Nykisha Gooch slices ex & his car with a boxcutter at East Nashville intersections

29-year-old Nykisha Gooch was jailed this week on multiple outstanding felony warrants including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism. Her ex-boyfriend, Michael Wilson, called police on April 25th to report Kisha had just sliced him with a box cutter at an intersection in East Nashville. Wilson says he was in the left turn lane at Gallatin & East Palestine Ave when a brown Chevy Impala sped up from behind and blocked him in. ‘Kisha’ suddenly appears from the Impala, broke the door handle of his car, and dragged the box cutter across his vehicle, causing several thousand dollars in damage, including denting the vehicle. As Wilson exited the car to put a stop to the vandalism Gooch attacked him and struck his palm with the blade. The couple had only dated for two weeks before he broke up with her.

Chester Campbell pawned over $10K of his ex-girlfriend’s jewelry using his own ID

57-year-old Chester Darren Campbell is being held on a $25,000 bond after being jailed this week on an outstanding felony theft warrant from 2018. His ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Brown, says she noticed several pieces of jewelry had gone missing from her bedroom. She stated her ex-boyfriend, Campbell, had been staying with her for several months since the breakup, and they had an on-and-off-again relationship. She also states he had stolen from her in the past. With him being the only other person with access to her bedroom, an investigation was launched, and it was discovered Campbell had pawned several pieces of the victim’s jewelry at pawn shops throughout both Tennessee and Kentucky, all while using his own photo ID. The value of the stolen jewelry is over $10,000.

McDonald’s Manager Susan Ray “hired” her husband, entered fake hours into payroll system

Police say 47-year-old Susan Ray was employed as a Manager at a Charlotte Pike McDonalds by Grayco Management in 2019. From January until September of that year, she hired her spouse into the store’s payroll system and manually entered hours into the system each pay period for which he never actually worked. The funds were distributed to the couple’s joint bank account as payroll. In total, she stole $6,089.16 during the period.

Gerald Harris fled from police in 2017 — this week he was booked into jail

27-year-old Gerald Harris was driving recklessly on Alameda Street in March of 2017 and was pulled over by Officer Mancino. As the officer approached the car and asked for the man’s license, Gerald put the car back into drive and sped away heading East on John A Merritt Blvd. The officer was unable to keep up with the vehicle and issued a warrant for his arrest. Fiver years later, he was booked on the charge of felony evading arrest.

Joshua Lira-Sierra crashed car while on Fentanyl & Marijuana, injuring two passengers

19-year-old Joshua Lira-Sierra was jailed this week on several outstanding warrants stemming from an incident in September of 2021 during which police say he nearly struck a police car while traveling at a high rate of speed and then crashed with his two passengers inside. Everyone was treated at Vanderbilt for their injuries, and his blood tests came back positive for Lorazepam, marijuana, and Fentanyl. Warrants were signed for two counts of vehicular assault on his passengers, Jorge Centella & Hadolp Castillo-Vasquez, evading arrest in a motor vehicle, and driving on a suspended license.

Myron Perry charged with burglary of ex-girlfriend’s bedroom #CaughtOnCamera

Police say a security camera caught 27-year-old Myron ‘Tank’ Perry entering the locked bedroom door of his ex-girlfriend (who is also his current roommate with separate bedrooms), and leaving with something in his hands. He returns again, enters the room, and exits with a flat item this time. The victim, Kayla Currie, was notified of the activity via an app on her phone. She returned home to find $700 in cash and an Amazon Fire Tablet missing from her bedroom. Perry is charged with felony burglary, and told police he never entered the bedroom, despite him clearly doing so on the recording, which was archived for court.

Ali Nid-Youssef charged in $20,000 vandalism of L.A. Jackson / Thompson Nashville Hotel

25-year-old Ali Nid-Youssef caused over $20,000 in damages and over 20 guest rooms to become unusable after he vandalized a toilet in the bathroom of the swanky L.A. Jackson rooftop bar at the Thompson Nashville in downtown Nashville, causing massive flooding as the water poured out of the restroom, into the hallway, and into guest rooms below. A witness who was also in the restroom at the time of the incident told him “You can’t just go around breaking stuff”, however, that did not deter him as he was damaging the urinal. Hotel staff identified Nid-Youssef as he was required to scan his ID to enter the rooftop bar area. He fled the area immediately after the incident and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Tykylan Walker charged with strangling girlfriend during lunch break & calmly returning to work after

Itavia Drake says her boyfriend, 29-year-old Tykylan Walker, came home agitated during his lunch break and accused her of cheating on him. She says he pushed her with his shoulder and told her to get away from their child, before pushing her to the ground and strangling her with both his hands around her neck until she was unable to breathe. He then reportedly threatened to kill her as he left the apartment to return to work. Police documents multiple injuries on the victim and took out warrants for Walker, who was taken into custody just a few hours later.

Colleen Thomas says a “memory issue” caused her to steal from airport store while waiting for flight

Nashville Airport Police say 38-year-old Colleen Joy Thomas, of Virginia, walked into the Arts of the District store inside Concourse A of the Nashville Airport and stuffed her pockets full of electronics, and left the store. In addition to the multiple Apple Airtags, guitar picks, and an Apple device charger she pocketed, she grabbed a Helix power bank and a pair of Apple Airpods Max while the cashier was distracted. The store manager, Jason Messick, confronted her in the concourse and she returned the larger items she had stolen. She stated she has a “short-term memory issue” which often causes her to forget things and suggests that’s why she didn’t pay for the items.

When police arrived they asked if she had anything other than the larger items in her hands, which she “forgot” to pay for, and she stated she didn’t believe so, but had an issue with her memory. She consented to a search of her luggage and backpack, which revealed the other missing items, which brought her total theft to a value of $1,053.06.

Canadian Football Player Ryan Bomben faces felony for bringing drugs into Nashville jail after drunken arrest

Metro Nashville Police found 34-year-old Canadian Professional Football Player Ryan Bomben banging his head against a local business in downtown Nashville, and when officers approached him he reeked of alcohol and had difficulty standing on his own. Despite multiple attempts to arrange for him to leave the area safely, there was no one to care for him and he had no idea where he was staying. He was transported to booking, where they located marijuana inside his jacket pocket once inside the facility. Bomben was charged with public intoxication and felony introducing drugs into a penal institution.
