Tourist Evan Dole charged with DUI and drug possession charges after driving erratically in downtown Nashville

27-year-old Evan Dole faces DUI and drug-related charges after driving erratically near 6th & Broadway in downtown Nashville. Police were called after Dole drove through barricades, narrowly missing a pedestrian just before 10 a.m. Monday. He was sitting on the curb by his vehicle when officers made contact with Dole; he had red, watery eyes and unnatural speech patterns. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and consented to a blood test. An inventory search of the vehicle found 10.3 grams of marijuana bud inside a black ‘Good Day Farm’ bag and 1.5 oz inside liquid marijuana cartridges.

DUI: Joey Gosnell crashes after drinking “eight beers” prior to driving

60-year-old Joey Gosnell told police he consumed eight beers before crashing his vehicle on Cooper Lane in the early hours of Sunday morning. The vehicle came to rest in a deep ditch, and Nashville Fire had to cut out the front windshield to extract Gosnell from the vehicle. He stated he was leaving Waffle House after drinking earlier in the night and was on his way home when he swerved to avoid a deer in the road. He then acknowledged he had made a mistake and repeatedly stated he was guilty.

Kim William charged with DUI after crashing into a tree at campgrounds on Stewarts Ferry Pike

42-year-old Kim William is charged with driving under the influence after crashing his black Ford F-150 into a tree on Stewarts Ferry Pike early Sunday morning. First responders treated his minor cuts and bruises, and police say he was visibly intoxicated and had trouble walking with medics. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and explained he was dropping his friend off at the campgrounds, but was unable to speak on how much alcohol he had to drink.

Deandra Cannon jailed after boating under the influence on Percy Priest Lake

24-year-old Deandra Cannon was jailed late Saturday night in the Seven Points area of Percy Priest Lake after she was observed operating a red and white vessel without the proper navigation lights required after sunset. Once TWRA Agents Ethan Davis and Collin Jones stopped the vessel, they noticed Cannon was visibly intoxicated as she attempted to retrieve the required safety equipment. She reportedly reeked of alcohol, and officers observed multiple empty alcoholic containers aboard the vessel. She admitted to drinking and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She was transported to booking and charged with BUI.

Murfreesboro Man charged with BUI on Percy Priest Lake — Gary Patterson

60-year-old Gary Patterson was operating a boat on Percy Priest Lake late Saturday night with its docking lights on. This attracted the attention of TWRA Agent Joshua Landrum, who stopped the vessel. He immediately observed a Michelob Ultra in a cup holder by the driver’s console, and he noticed that Patterson was visibly intoxicated. Patterson stated they had been eating and listening to music at Elm Hill Marina and were en route back to Fate Sanders Marina. He admitted to “having a couple” of alcoholic drinks and then performed poorly on field sobriety tests. 

Tracy Wright charged with DUI after East Nashville Crash Sunday afternoon

49-year-old Tracy Wright crashed her vehicle into another vehicle on Woodland Street near South 1st Street Sunday afternoon. Officers observed multiple open beer cans on the floor of the vehicle, in addition to several unopened cans. She was visibly intoxicated and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She refused all other testing and was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

Realtor Erin Huckabee Akers charged in DUI crash after drinking at Jason Aldean’s Bar

39-year-old Erin Akers told police she had “three Cosmopolitan” drinks at Jason Aldean’s Bar before crashing her car at 12th & Demonbreun late Saturday night. She left the bar to drive home around 11 p.m., which was about an hour before the crash. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and had trouble standing on her own during the interaction. She was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

DUI: Jimmy Dalton crashes into pole on way home from work

49-year-old Jimmy Dalton says he was driving home from work when someone “cut him off,” resulting in him wrecking into a utility pole at Shute Lane and Old Hickory Blvd. When first responders arrive, Dalton reeked of alcohol and was visibly intoxicated. He could not maintain his balance and had to have officers assist him in walking. Dalton refused all testing and was taken into custody, charged with DUI.

Justin McCabe charged with DUI after late-night crash on interstate

41-year-old Justin McCabe was booked early Sunday morning after police found his black 2019 Audi crashed into the guardrail on I-40 with significant front-end damage. Witnesses of the accident said the Audi was weaving in and out of traffic approaching exit 221A and initially struck the back of another vehicle. The occupants of the other vehicle were transported to Summit Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Police questioned McCabe for his side of the story, and he claimed ed that someone had hit him. He smelled of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet. McCabe had pinpoint pupils that didn’t respond to light or other stimuli. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and became uncooperative and angry when placed into handcuffs. He then refused to answer any further questions and demanded to speak to a lawyer. He was transported to booking after a mandatory blood draw was completed.
