34-year-old Brendyn Sullivan had fallen asleep behind the wheel at a traffic light near 3rd Avenue and Broadway on May 3rd. When officers arrived, they spoke with Sullivan, who reeked of alcohol and showed multiple signs of intoxication. Sullivan consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and, after being informed of implied consent, agreed to provide a blood sample. Sullivan was transported to Saint Thomas Midtown and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Charles Scalf drives down Briley Parkway West without seatbelt
22-year-old Charles Scalf was driving without a seatbelt down Briley Parkway West near mile marker 25.8 on the afternoon of August 4th, 2023. Officers observed this, conducted a traffic stop, and then cited Scalf for the incident. He failed to appear in court or pay his fine by October 6th, 2023, so officers issued a warrant for his arrest. Scalf was taken into custody on March 19th.
Musician Carl Miner booked after speeding on Briley Parkway West
42-year-old Carl Miner was speeding on Briley Parkway West near mile marker 22.4 in the early hours of July 14th,2023. Officers observed him going 70 mph in a 55-mph-zone, conducted a traffic stop, and cited him for the incident. He did not appear in court or pay the fine by September 1st, 2023, so a warrant was issued for his arrest. Miner was then taken into custody on March 18th.
DUI: Christopher Churchwell caught with gun after crashing car
45-year-old Christopher Churchwell had a single-vehicle accident on SR 155 in the early hours of March 9th. When officers arrived, they noticed Churchwell reeked of alcohol as he voluntarily handed them his firearm off his right hip. He consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and then denied implied consent. Churchwell was taken into custody for driving under the influence, possession of a handgun while under the influence, and implied consent.

28-year-old Lucas Dinkins was found passed out beside his motorcycle in Nashville Saturday afternoon. Trooper Bunting asked him to walk to his patrol vehicle, and Dinkins stumbled to do so. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for DUI, with a stop at Metro General for a blood draw.
