Marine rips off shirt & threatens others in downtown Nashville — Jacob Thibodeau

Metro Nashville Police working the Entertainment District Initiative in downtown Nashville Saturday responded to a fight call at the JW Marriott on 8th Ave S. and found 33-year-old Jacob Thibodeau, who they described as “very belligerent and verbally aggressive” to officers and staff. Thibodeau ripped off his shirt and yelled, “I am a Marine Corps Veteran!…” followed by “he needs his f***** a** kicked!…” in response to a citizen whose vehicle was damaged in a separate incident at the same location. The staff also showed police a video of Thibodeau starting a fight with another individual prior to their arrival. He was warned to stop yelling, screaming, and making threats but was not hearing any of the suggestions and remained disorderly. Officers eventually arrested him and transported him to booking.

Drunk National Guard Recruiter Taylor Stoeckman threatens to kill Nashville Police Officer — Pretrial Release

28-year-old Former Marine turned National Guard Recruiter Taylor Stoeckman was jailed late Monday night after security at Nashville Underground on Broadway in downtown Nashville had to take him to the ground and hold him there until police arrived. Stoeckman was reportedly extremely intoxicated, which resulted in him being denied entry to the venue. Despite his continued shouting and unruly behavior, and complaints of not being able to see, he refused medical treatment. Officers then attempted to call his friends to come and get him, but Stoeckman was unable to unlock his phone. Officers asked him to sit down while they attempted other methods to contact his friends, but he became even more unruly. He was then advised he was being taken into custody, at which time he assumed a fighting stance and used his body to prevent from being placed into the patrol car. He then threatened to strangle the arrested officer to death, and once at booking, he continued to resist going into the building.

Marine charged in assault of wife over baby crying — Aaron Burnette arrested

23-year-old Marine Aaron Burnette was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday on an outstanding warrant from the weekend, charging him with the domestic assault and bodily injury of his wife, Chelsea Majors Burnette.

The victim says he shoved her to the ground while she was holding their child and punched her the head with a fist, leaving swelling, while on top of her. He then fled the scene.

Drunk Marine charged with carrying a handgun inside bar — Michael Selby arrested

Metro Police came into contact with 23-year-old Michael Selby as they were working the downtown district this weekend and noticed Selby and others assisting a very intoxicated individual down the stairs.

It turned out Selby was also intoxicated, and have a loaded handgun in a pouch on his waistband. Police took him into custody, charging him with possession of a firearm while drinking inside a bar. He is free on pre-trial release.
