Kesean Bowen kicks girlfriend in stomach after telling her he doesn’t want to support their child

26-year-old Kesean Bowen had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Brensley Puglisi, at her Selsey Court residence on the evening of March 2nd. Officers arrived and spoke with Puglisi, who stated Bowen had come over to smoke. Puglisi stated they were in the car when Bowen mentioned how he did not want to be part of their baby’s life and that the baby needed to stay with her. Puglisi said she became upset as the conversation progressed and told him to get out of her car. Bowen refused then exited the vehicle and attempted to pull her out. Puglisi said that she grabbed onto his shirt, ripping it as he pulled her out of the car and onto the ground. Puglisi said Bowen then kicked her in the stomach and drove away. She advised them that she did not wish to prosecute. Bowen was taken into custody for domestic assault on May 2nd.

Jimeco Lightborne assaults girlfriend during argument over past relationships

26-year-old Jimeco Lightbourne had a domestic incident with his girlfriend, Shabrell Francis, at her Picadilly Row apartment around 7 p.m. on May 2nd. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Francis, who stated she and Lightbourne argued over their past relationships, during which she started yelling at him, causing him to become angry, grabbing her, and throwing her around the bedroom. He pushed her against the glass closet door and table, knocking it over onto her before shoving her against the window and pulling the curtains down to the bed. Francis added that he smacked her multiple times and punched her one time on the right side of her face. When officers spoke with Lightbourne, he stated Francis initiated the argument by poking him in the face and smacking him on the chest while they were riding home. He said she continued hitting him, and then he admitted to smacking her and throwing her around the apartment. Lightbourne was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Terrence Daughtery punches man at Nashville Rescue Mission

41-year-old Terrance Daughtery had an altercation with John Forshey at Nashville Rescue Mission around 6 p.m. on May 1st. When officers arrived, Forshey told them Daughtery had sat down next to him and punched him in the face before leaving, which caused a laceration next to his right eye. Forshey was transported to the hospital, where he received seven stitches for his injury. On May 2nd, officers observed him near the Greyhound Bus terminal in downtown Nashville and then detained him. Under Miranda, he advised that he sat down next to Forshey and believed he heard him say, “Get the fuck out of here and go to your mom’s,” to which he responded by punching him in the face, adding that he felt threatened by his statement. Daughtery was taken into custody for assault.

Jonathan Shafer assaults a police officer on Interstate Drive

50-year-old Jonathan Shafer had an altercation with Officer Blaze Williams near Woodland Street and Interstate Drive around 6 p.m. on May 2nd. Williams was directing traffic when he encountered Shafer, who was swearing at him because he guided him the wrong way. Wiliams attempted to de-escalate the situation and told him to have a nice evening, which was when Shafer turned around and threw a lighter at him. Officer Williams said it flew right next to his face, prompting him to follow Shafer, who ran toward 1St Street. Williams requested backup, caught up to Shafer, and said, “Stop! Police,” which Shafer ignored while attempting to juke him, prompting them to perform a “takedown,” where he continued to resist until additional officers arrived to detain him. Shafer was then taken into custody for disorderly conduct, evading arrest, resisting arrest, and assault on an officer.

Pashelle Wilson assaults girlfriend during argument about breaking up

26-year-old Pashelle Wilson had a domestic incident with her girlfriend, Carone Edwards, at her Nolensville Pike apartment on May 2nd. When officers arrived, they spoke with Wilson, who stated she and Edwards argued over their relationship issues, which escalated when they started to “wrestle”, leaving a small laceration on her foot. Wilson said that Edwards’s daughter broke up the altercation.

When officers spoke with Edwards, she stated she told Wilson she wanted to end their relationship and attempted to leave, which was when Wilson started pushing her, sparking a scuffle, where Wilson pulled her by her arm into her daughter’s room and continued fighting with her until her daughter intervened.

After the fight, Wilson locked herself in Edward’s bedroom and started damaging her belongings, including a vase, a gold watch, and a bottle of perfume, totaling around $300. Her daughter provided officers with a video showing Edwards’s shirt torn and ripped from the occurrence. Wilson was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault and vandalism.

Jason Martin assaults soon-to-be ex-wife after she changes music to something with “slower pace”

46-year-old Jason Barnett Martin had a domestic altercation with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Tiffany Martin, at their McGavock Pike residence late April 28th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Mrs. Martin, who stated she and Mr. Martin were on the back porch cooking dinner and listening to music. Tiffany stated she changed the song to something with a “slower pace,” which upset Jason. She said he told her to change it back, but she refused, sparking an argument, leading to them disputing the paternity of the child present. Tiffany told officers Jason grabbed her by the head and struck her twice before threatening to kill her and leaving the residence. Police noticed she had a severe laceration above her right eye that needed stitches, prompting them to call medics, but she declined medical attention. Officers deemed Jason Martin the primary aggressor. Jason Martin was taken into custody for domestic assault on May 2nd.

Shadara Ferrier slams woman’s head into wall during altercation at Knights Inn Motel

26-year-old Shadara Ferrier had an altercation with her acquaintance, Erin Maxey, at their Knights Inn Motel room on Spring Street in the early hours of April 21st. Maxey told the authorities that she was visiting Nashville with a few friends from Kentucky. Maxey stated Ferrier, who was intoxicated, had become angry because they were planning to go out and meet with some men they had met downtown. Maxey said Ferrier was also irritated because she asked to retrieve her belongings from her car. Maxey stated once she returned to their room, Ferrier was arguing with Kaylee Haste, one of their friends. Then, Maxey explained that she asked Ferrier to unlock her car, and Ferrier charged at her. Maxey stated that Ferrier grabbed her head, slammed her against the wall, and started punching her in the face after forcing her to the floor. Officers noted that Maxey had severe bruising on her face, swelling around her nose, and a black eye. Maxey said she defended herself, grabbing Ferrier’s hair and attempting to punch her. Haste corroborated Maxey’s statement and spoke with a mutual friend who spoke with Ferrier, who said, “She had messed up really bad and made a big mistake.” Ferrier left the scene before the officers arrived and returned to Kentucky. Ferrier was taken into custody for assault on May 2nd.

DUI: Jovani Gonzalez blows .262% BAC after being found passed out drunk in his car

28-year-old Jovani Gonzalez was found sleeping in his car at the Chase Bank parking lot late on April 28th. When officers arrived, they found Gonzalez asleep in his vehicle with the keys in the ignition and the vehicle in drive. Officers could not wake him even after numerous attempts, so paramedics were contacted. A paramedic was able to put the car in park and wake Gonzalez with a sternum rub. Officers then made contact with Gonzalez and noticed a strong smell of alcohol coming from his person. While speaking to Gonzalez, officers saw a closed 750ml bottle of 1800 Tequila on the passenger side floor, along with another empty beer bottle. According to officers, about 15 empty beer bottles were in the truck bed. When asked how much alcohol he had consumed, Gonzalez stated, “Three to four beers,” leading to the request for some field sobriety tests. Gonzalez consented to the sobriety tests but ended up performing poorly. Gonzalez performed a breathalyzer test with the final result being a .262% BAC. Gonzalez was asked for his driver’s license but told officers that he didn’t have one or any other form of identification. Jovani Gonzalez was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, driving without a driver’s license, and possessing an open alcohol container.

Darrell Payne sexually assaults woman in tent, says she came in his tent to “Get warm”

52-year-old Darrell Payne inappropriately touched a female on April 21st. She alerted the authorities, advising them she went to Payne’s tent to hang out. She stated this is where Payne put his hands up her shirt, groping her breasts, to which she told him to stop. Then, Payne put his hands down her pants and rubbed her vagina over her underwear. In response to this, she pushed Payne away and left the tent. Officers then Mirandized Payne, under which he stated she came to his tent to “get warm” and that she got in his bed for that purpose. He added that any “contact with her intimate parts” was accidental. Payne told officers that he thought of her as a daughter and would never “sexually assault” her. He later disclosed that he is on the sex offender registry due to similar allegations. Officers conducted a follow-up and discovered he had pleaded guilty to a domestic abuse-related sexual battery in Rutherford County. Payne was taken into custody for sexual battery on May 2nd.
