Hector Salmeanto steals woman’s car from her workplace

32-year-old Hector Arel Salmeanto stole Makenzie Harris’s car from her workplace, HCA/Centennial Development, on May 1st. Officers were dispatched to a Georgia Avenue residence regarding a call stating there was a male Hispanic, later identified as Salmeanto, getting out of a vehicle in a valley behind his house and attempting to jump over his fence. When officers arrived, they located Salmeanto, who was sweating and could not provide a legitimate story on how he obtained the vehicle or ended up at their dispatched location. Officers asked Salmeanto who owned the car, and he gave them two names of those he believed were the registered owners.

Then, officers found and spoke with Harris, the stolen vehicle owner, who stated her car had been taken from work and called it in at 4:59 p.m. Harris stated the patrol officers had not made it to her job, so her car was not yet reported as stolen. She gave officers a description of Salmeanto from the camera footage outside her workplace. Officers had located Salmeanto in the immediate area of the vehicle and found the vehicle’s keys on his person. The vehicle was estimated to be approximately $9,000.  Salmeanto was taken into custody for vehicle theft.

Tatiana Maldonado free on pre-trial release after assaulting Nashville Police Officer

22-year-old Tatiana Maldonado is free on pre-trial release after police say she punched MNPD Officer Peyton Wheatley in the back of the head multiple times in the early hours of Saturday morning. Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative responded to a fight call in downtown Nashville and made contact with Tatiana and her boyfriend, who was in a fight with others. As officers attempted to break up the altercation, the parties were not complying with commands. As Officer Wheatley was attempting to detain her boyfriend, Tatiana struck the officer in the back of the head multiple times. Officer Dennis Diesel took her into custody, and she was charged with assault of an officer.

You can’t sleep off your drunkenness in the middle of the road — Wendy Butler arrested

25-year-old Wendy Butler and her friend were found lying in the middle of 11th Ave South in downtown Nashville in the early hours of Sunday morning. Officers attempted to get the Butler back to their hotel, but she was unable to communicate effectively, with none of her answers making sense, according to Officer Peyton Wheatley. Due to her state of intoxication and current location on the roadway, she was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

California’s Christian Montion-Dominguez drunk and disorderly at the Holiday Inn Express

28-year-old Christian Montiondominguez was at the Holiday Inn Express on Broadway in the early hours of Saturday morning, yelling and screaming at security and front desk staff, who confirmed he was not a guest of the hotel. He made multiple threats against both people and refused to leave the property. As police took him into custody for trespassing, they noted him to be extremely intoxicated.

Anthony Mayen drags wife down 2nd Ave by her hair during downtown Nashville assault

Metro Nashville Police say 39-year-old Wisconsin tourist Anthony ‘Tony’ Mayen was observed by multiple witnesses dragging his wife, Adrianna Mayen, down the sidewalk on 2nd Ave in downtown Nashville by her hair. Witnesses Rebecca and Megan Mogetz say the victim appeared helpless, and they yelled at Tony to stop. When he noticed police were approaching, he stopped assaulting his wife and walked toward Broadway. The victim stated she was afraid of further assault if they arrested him. As Tony was taken into custody, he yelled obscenities at the officers. Another officer confirmed that had taken a report involving Tony and another patron fighting at Miranda Lambert’s bar shortly before the assault on his wife.

Ohio’s Thomas Gattuso assaults downtown Hilton employees with glass plate & metal spatula

Armed with a glass dinner plate and a metal spatula, 21-year-old Thomas Gattuso walked into the kitchen of the Hilton Hotel in downtown Nashville as the staff was wrapping up for the night and attempted to start a fight that even Gordon Ramsay would be impressed by. Gattuso entered the hotel, where he was not a guest, and became aggressive with the kitten staff. As one of them called security, Gattuso threw his glass dinner plate and struck one of the employees in the back of the head. The employee had to be transported to the hospital due to his injuries. He then used the metal spatula to attempt to make contact with another employee’s head. Hotel security detained Gattuso until police arrived, and described him as “out of it” and “very intoxicated.”

DUI: N’finity Tanksley drives into a building in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police say 23-year-old N’finity Tanksley drove her vehicle into the side of the building at 1201 Broadway in the early hours of Sunday morning before daylight. When officers arrived, she was still in the driver’s seat with the vehicle in drive, still pushing into the building while refusing commands to exit. She was removed from the wreckage by force and admitted to consuming “one shot” of liquor four hours before driving. Inside the car, officers found marijuana and an open shot of moonshine. She smelled of alcohol and later blew a 0.09% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Savannah Reynolds charged with DUI in Nashville after crashing into utility pole

Metro Nashville Police say 24-year-old tattoo artist Savannah Reynolds ran her vehicle into a utility pole on the sidewalk of 4th Ave. S. in the early hours of Sunday morning. When asked what happened, she had several versions of events, such as she was in an argument with her boyfriend, another version where she had just left a bar, and another where she was visiting a friend’s house. Officers say she performed poorly on field sobriety tests and eventually blew a 0.216% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Hunter Bowman charged with DUI after passing out behind the wheel of car going the wrong way in downtown Nashville

34-year-old Hunter Bowman was found passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle at 1st & Mollow St. in downtown Nashville Friday. First responders say the vehicle was running and had been traveling in the wrong direction on the roadway. He reportedly became combative when they attempted to wake him up and reeked of alcohol, according to police on the scene. Bowman admitted to consuming “3 or 4” alcoholic drinks prior to driving.

Markus Higgs found unresponsive in downtown Nashville alley; assaults those helping him

In the early morning hours of July 1st, 29-year-old Markus Higgs was found unresponsive in an alley near 417 Broadway in downtown Nashville. As officers checked on his welfare, they could see he had slight breath movements in his chest, but either could not or would not answer any questions such as who he was, where he was, how old he was, or what he was doing there. Medics responded to the scene and assisted him to a stretcher when he suddenly swung at one of the first responders and began screaming at police and kicking at officers, making impact with Officer Wheatley’s chest. He was then cuffed, restrained, and transported to booking.
