Christopher Carothers admits to using heroin prior to crashing into another vehicle

Police say 47-year-old Christopher Carothers was one block away from his home when he drove his white Lexus into the other lane of travel and collided with another vehicle, injuring two people. Officer founds Carothers sitting on a sidewalk, shaking with pinpoint pupils when they arrived. His sentences were incoherent and he continuously nodded off after admitting he had shot up with heroin shortly before the crash. Police located 30 Oxycodone pills and a dollar bill containing heroin inside the vehicle. After a warrant was granted for his blood, he was transported to Metro General before being booked into jail.

Alexander Schiele charged with assault of girlfriend inside elevator

26-year-old Alexander Schiele was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday on an outstanding warrant charging him with the domestic assault of his girlfriend, Quinn Walker. Security at the Riverhouse apartments received a noise complaint about their apartment at just after 1 a.m. on May 18th which stated the couple was arguing loudly. They did not answer the door for the courtesy officer, however, security footage was reviewed the following day and it showed Schiele and Walker in an argument as they are entering the elevator at 1:02 a.m. He then puts his hands across the elevator, blocking Quinn from exiting as the argument continues. He then reportedly walks toward her aggressively as she is seen on the video putting her hands up to block him. He continues forward while aggressively backing her into the elevator wall.

Brian Marsh pulls gun on his grandmother & demands money to pay for a lawyer

21-year-old Brian Marsh was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday on an outstanding warrant charging him with the felony aggravated assault of his grandmother with a deadly weapon. The warrant states that two days after Christmas, Brian Marsh showed up at the home of his grandmother, Rebecca Marsh, while he was high on drugs and brandishing a pistol which he waved and pointed at her. She pushed the gun out of her way and told him to go on, at which time he grabbed her arms and said “I know you have money, you’re just not giving it to me”. The grandmother told detectives he was seeking money in order to pay for a criminal defense lawyer for an arrest in Rutherford County on drug and gun charges.

DUI: Charles Jones III says he did “at least one body shot” & 6 beers prior to driving, amid tears

When officers stopped 36-year-old Charles Jones III on I-40 in the early hours of Thursday morning he reportedly told them “I’m going to be honest, I’m intoxicated” before he broke down and began to cry. He stated he had consumed 6 beers and did “at least 1 body shot” before driving, and then requested an attorney. The result of his breathalyzer test was 0.207% BAC.

Tourist Brendan Kirby deemed too drunk for CMA Fest weekend in downtown Nashville

Metro Nashville Police Officers working the Entertainment District Initiative during CMA Fest this weekend responded to 211 Broadway in the early hours of Sunday morning to find 32-year-old Brendan Kirby laying behind a kiosk on the ground. Officers attempted to check on his welfare, and he was found to be extremely intoxicated and unable to care for himself in the middle of downtown Nashville. Kirby was unable to stand on his own two feet without assistance and was transported to booking to be charged with public intoxication.

Drug dealer & wannabe rapper Jordan Brownlee caught after crash in East Nashville #PreTrialRelease

20-year-old Jordan Brownlee, who is no better at rapping than he is at driving, was involved in an automobile crash in East Nashville that required him to be transported to the hospital. First responders relayed to police that he was combative with medics, had a loaded firearm, and had a head injury. Officers arrived on the scene after the medics and observed a Glock handgun with an extended magazine on the floorboard of the driver’s side of the crashed vehicle. During an inventory search of the vehicle while Brownlee was being transported to the hospital, officers located more drugs, multiple cell phones, a clear container attachment to a blender with a white powdery substance inside, multiple digital scales, cocaine, and U.S. currency. As the handgun wasn’t actually found in his possession, there were no gun charges filed in this case at this time.

Kwaku Owoo goes berserk after wifi isn’t working in his apartment — coffee mug assault

34-year-old Kwaku Akuffo Owoo is charged with assault after he became upset that the wifi at his apartment complex wasn’t working as he expected and confronted the apartment office staff about the issue. He began to yell at Davis Farish before taking the coffee mug from the victim’s hand and hitting him on the head with it. The victim pushed the mug away and it fell to the floor and shattered. Owoo then picked up a piece of the shattered mug and pointed it at the victim’s throat while attempting to tackle him. Police arrived and interviewed Owoo, who stated “You can speak to my lawyer on Monday.”

Tourist John Taggart admits to slapping his girlfriend during assault at Opryland Hotel in Nashville

At 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Metro Nashville Police responded to the Opryland Hotel after Brooke Opel reported her boyfriend, 40-year-old John Taggart, had assaulted her and was attempting to take the keys to her vehicle. When officers interviewed Taggart, he admitted that he slapped Brooke in the face during the argument. Brooke further told police the couple had been out drinking in downtown Nashville, and when they returned to the hotel John became “belligerent” and backhanded her in the face multiple times. Officers documented multiple injuries on the victim’s face and took Taggart into custody.

Quantraveous Williams charged after scuffle with VIP guest at Vibes Bar & Lounge in Nashville

32-year-old Quantraveous Williams is free on a $4,000 bond after destroying a $480 bottle of liquor and two $500 hookahs at Vibes Bar & Lounge in the early morning hours of June 11th when he was in a physical altercation with a VIP guest at the Nashville venue after the Legendz of the Streetz concert ended nearby. While Jenkins declined to press charges for the assault, police charged Williams with public intoxication and felony vandalism for the liquor & hookah.
