Nordstrom employee Jonathan Ramirez Perez charged with $1,600 in return fraud

Security Personnel at Nordstrom at the Mall at Green Hills detained 22-year-old employee Jonathan Ramirez Perez in the security office until police arrived after management discovered he had stolen $1,600 from the store. Officers say security video confirms Perez Perez actually purchased items from the store in the past and, on two recent days, pretended to refund those transactions and refunded the money to his debit card without actually returning the merchandise. The total amount of the fraud was $1,600.

51-year-old Rajiv Vyas of Lebanon, TN, refused to leave a downtown business at 100 Broadway despite multiple demands from both the management and police. He had become disorderly and was disrupting other guests, and by the time police arrived, he was “irate” with security at the location. He eventually looked at the police officers and said, “arrest me, or I’m going back upstairs!” Officers obliged, and he was charged with criminal trespass.

Yasmeen Bibbs charged in employee return-fraud scheme at Champs Sports Rivergate

20-year-old De’Nijha Yasmeen Bibbs is charged with felony theft after police say she stole more than $1,600 from her employer, the Champs Sports store at Rivergate Mall. Manager Michael Mateo and transaction logs and evidence showing Bibbs would scan in various items from the store and process a fake refund, transferring the money to her personal debit card. The thefts began on August 26th, and across five days, she took $1,648.62 in fraudulent return money. Bibbs confessed to the crime after being Mirandized by police.

14 Xanax Bars: Desiree Ivey charged with felony possession with intent after drug transaction

18-year-old Desiree Ivey is free on pre-trial release after Metro Nashville Police stopped a vehicle she was in with Austin Watts, which was observed by undercover detectives at it was involved in a drug transaction at a West Nashville Thornton’s. Though Austin claimed his one-ounce baggie of marijuana from the vehicle, a search of the Tahoe revealed 14 Xanax bars in a blue purse located in Ivey’s seat, along with $140 in cash. She claimed the purse and drugs belonged to her Aunt.

Metro Nashville Police were conducting surveillance at the Thorntons on Charlotta Pike when they observed a hand-to-hand transaction between people in two vehicles. They approached the driver of one of the vehicles, 21-year-old Austin Watts, and briefly spoke with him while his passenger, Desiree Ivey, also spoke to officers and admitted to marijuana being in the vehicle after officers claimed to smell it. She produced a 1-ounce bag of marijuana Watts later admitted the marijuana was his and was taken into custody and charged with simple possession of marijuana.

Kyle Coffin had an “even flow” of alcohol at the Pearl Jam concert in Nashville

39-year-old Kyle Coffin was being so annoying and disruptive to others in section 115 of Bridgestone Arena during the Pearl Jam concert this weekend, Metro Nashville Police were dispatched to the area. Officers observed Coffin to be extremely intoxicated and belligerent. He was unable to care for himself and was being an unreasonable annoyance to the public, so Coffin was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Jonathan Meyers, 52, felt ‘Alive’ and tried to be a ‘Better Man’ at Pearl Jam concert; got too drunk

52-year-old Jonathan Adam Meyers caught the attention of Metro Nashville Police Officers in the early morning hours of Saturday morning while attending the Pearl Jam concert at Bridgestone Area in downtown Nashville on Broadway. He had trouble standing on his own and reeked of alcohol. He did not have a safe way home, according to police, and he refused to cooperate with them finding him a ride or someone to collect him. He was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Benjamin Clark strikes Police Lieutenant in back, cited for disorderly conduct

21-year-old Benjamin Clark of McMinnville is charged with disorderly conduct after he struck Metro Nashville Polie Lieutenant John Batty on the back and quickly walked away just before 1 a.m. near 4th & Broadway in downtown Nashville. As officers detained him, he continued to be disorderly in public and stated he had “four drinks” so far in the evening. Despite him continuing to be irate and ignore commands, Clark was issued a state citation for disorderly conduct and sent on his way. He was booked on that citation this week.
