Alexander Caleb Lafeve drunkenly assaults husband after drinking bottle of alcohol

22-year-old Alexander Caleb Lafeve was jailed early February 13th for assaulting his husband at their home on Alta Loma Road. William Dickerson told police that Alexander had drank a whole bottle of alcohol within the last couple of hours and busted through his bedroom door, yelling at him. Alexander then grabbed Dickerson by his arm, pulling and screaming at him. Dickerson got away from Lafeve, called 911, and waited outside the residence for police. Dickerson was afraid that Lafeve would hurt him, as this wasn’t the first incident of assault but only the first time he had reported it.

Jovani Murillo burns ex-girlfriend’s clothes during altercation

20-year-old Jovani Murillo had a domestic altercation with his ex-girlfriend, Leslie Torres, at her Saturn Drive residence on November 13th. Torres reported that she had recently broken up with Murillo and asked him to return the clothes she had left at his house. Torres later heard a vehicle honk its horn in front of her home, stepped outside, and saw her belongings on fire. Torres observed Murillo get back into his car and drive off. Torres reviewed the footage from her front door camera, which showed him exiting his vehicle, placing her clothes on the ground, and setting them on fire. Torres advised officers that she did not wish to prosecute for the incident and that her damaged property was valued at approximately $100. Murillo was taken into custody for vandalism on February 13th.

DUI: Joshua Ayers drinks 750 ml bottle of Smirnoff Vodka before passing out in vehicle

46-year-old Joshua Damon Ayers was unconscious in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, blocking the roadway on Old Hickory Boulevard on the night of February 10th. NFD personnel spoke with him until officers arrived to question him. Officers asked Ayers for his driver’s credentials, and he fumbled his wallet, needing help locating his license. Ayers advised officers that he could not recall what happened and was unaware of his whereabouts. Ayers also told officers that he just had a death in his family. Ayers then stumbled, exited the vehicle, and fell into a ditch before trying to use the bathroom while speaking with officers. A subsequent search of his car resulted in officers locating a nearly empty 750 ml bottle of Smirnoff Vodka on the passenger side floorboard. Officers took Ayers to a different location to perform sobriety tests, but he refused. After being informed of implied consent, he did not agree to provide a breath or blood sample. Ayers was taken into custody for driving under the influence and implied consent.

John McGee kills woman in crash on Clarksville Pike, tells police it “just happened”

39-year-old John Roger McGee was taken into custody for failing to yield, which resulted in death on February 12th. On September 14th, 2023, Officers responded to a crash on Clarksville Pike and observed a gold Toyota Camry and a red Saturn Aurora with significant front-end damage. The driver of the Saturn, Mary Wheeler, was transported to Skyline Hospital, where she died due to injuries sustained in the collision. McGee spoke with officers and told them that he did not know how the crash occurred and that it “just happened.” A witness, Patrick Hunt, advised officers that he was driving behind McGee’s Camry when it suddenly crossed the other lane and struck the Saturn. Based on the witness statement and roadway evidence, it was determined that Wheeler was driving north on Clarksville Pike when McGee crashed into her. John McGee was taken into custody for failing to yield, which resulted in death on February 12th.

Chastity Robinson pickpockets man she met on Broadway, assaults police officer

43-year-old Chastity Robinson pickpocketed a man she met at a bar on Broadway in the early hours of February 12th. Officers located Robinson and the man, and he advised them that he believed Robinson had taken his wallet. Robinson denied stealing his wallet multiple times before a passerby told officers that he and five other witnesses saw Robinson drop his wallet while entering a cab to flee the scene. The wallet owner told officers that his debit card, credit card, and $160 were missing. Officers searched Robinson’s purse to locate any cards with his name. Officers then asked Robinson why she had many unopened but scratched-off gift cards. In response, Robinson screamed, “Stop lying,” with profanities, and said, “That is an Uber card,” before striking the searching officer with her right hand. When officers asked if they would see her holding the wallet via camera footage, Robinson admitted to stealing the wallet. Officers observed her to be visibly intoxicated, so Robinson was taken into custody for public intoxication and the assault of an officer.  

DUI: Luis Bernales drinks 3 beers before driving on wrong side of road

25-year-old Luis Bernales drove on the wrong side of 3rd Avenue South and Korean Veterans Boulevard in the early hours of February 12th. Officers observed this, conducted a traffic stop, and approached the driver’s side door. Officers asked him if he knew why they pulled him over, and he responded incoherently. When asked about his driver’s license and paperwork, he told officers, “I don’t know,” and could not find them. Bernales then admitted to having three beers before driving. Bernales consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Darryl Dinning Jr. fights security at Whiskey Row, tells officer to “Suck His D*ck”

26-year-old Darryl Dinning Jr. had an altercation with security personnel at Whiskey Row in downtown Nashville on February 12th. Whiskey Row security signaled officers for assistance, and when they arrived, Dinning Jr. was walking away from the establishment, yelling at security. Officers approached and detained him due to his level of agitation, and then he became belligerent, yelling racial slurs towards them. Whiskey Row security personnel advised them that Dinning Jr. tried to grab items off the DJ booth inside the establishment and continued after being told to stop repeatedly. Security managed to push him away from the booth and eventually escorted him outside. When they got outside, Dinning Jr. walked around security towards the bar again. Dinning Jr. grabbed the line stanchions and threw them on the ground. Dinning Jr. was taken into custody for disorderly conduct. On the way to booking, Dinning Jr. told one officer to “suck his d*ck” and called her a “slave monger,” and then he called the other officer a “f*cking white boy” while stepping into their faces, trying to provoke a physical altercation, and told them to punch him.

Illinois Tourist Andrew Hellmich booked after refusing to leave Legends Corner Bar

30-year-old Illinois Tourist Andrew Hellmich refused to leave Legends Corner Bar late February 11th. Security for the bar flagged officers down and advised them of the situation. When officers arrived, Hellmich was in a fighting stance towards security officers, yelling at them. Officers approached Hellmich, observed him as highly intoxicated, and determined he was a danger to himself or others. Hellmich was taken into custody for public intoxication and disorderly conduct on February 12th.

Scott Page found sleeping outside Vanderbilt University Emergency Department

27-year-old Scott Cameron Page was found sleeping outside the Vanderbilt University Emergency Department on Medical Center Drive on February 9th. Officers advised Page that he could not sleep there and asked if he needed to check into the Emergency Room. To which Page agreed and walked inside. Then, Page walked outside without being seen and sat on the sidewalk. Officers asked him for his identification, and Page became belligerent. Page began screaming and cursing at officers while refusing to leave the property. Page was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.

DUI: Ryan Smith fails to use turn signal after drinking 2 IPAs on Broadway

44-year-old Ryan Scott Smith failed to use his turn signal in his white Mazda CX5 before changing lanes in front of a Nissan Titan near Donelson Pike on the afternoon of February 11th. Officers observed this, initiated a traffic stop, and noticed Smith was visibly intoxicated as they approached the driver’s side. Officers asked him where he was coming from, and he told them he was at the bars on Broadway. Smith admitted this was also where he had two IPAs. Smith consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and refused to provide a sample after being informed of implied consent. Smith was taken into custody for driving under the influence and implied consent on February 12th.
