25-year-old Luis Bernales drove on the wrong side of 3rd Avenue South and Korean Veterans Boulevard in the early hours of February 12th. Officers observed this, conducted a traffic stop, and approached the driver’s side door. Officers asked him if he knew why they pulled him over, and he responded incoherently. When asked about his driver’s license and paperwork, he told officers, “I don’t know,” and could not find them. Bernales then admitted to having three beers before driving. Bernales consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
