18-year-old Jazell Freeman was jailed for punching her ex-boyfriend in the eye after accusing him of leaking their sex tape. Thomas Clardy and Ms. Freeman dated from September until October 29th. While at school on October 30th, a rumor was started by an unknown party that a sex tape of the two was released, and multiple people had seen it. Mr. Clardy told Freeman that the video didn’t exist and that he had no idea who started the rumor. Later in the day, Freeman confronted Clardy again and became extremely upset, blaming him for it. Clardy told police he tried to calm her down, but she continued to yell about the situation and ended up punching him in the left eye. Mr. Cardy stated that his eye was swollen and hurt, but there was no visible injury at the time of the report.
According to Mr. Clardy, after school was let out, Ms. Freeman started calling him from a blocked number and continued to make threatening statements, such as saying he was going to be beaten up and potentially even killed. He eventually stopped answering his phone, at which point she started texting him, stating that she would have someone “handle” him or she would just do it herself.
While at work that day, Mr. Clardy stated that four males between the ages of 17-19 showed up asking for him. Cardy told police that the males said that they were sent by Ms. Freeman to “beat his ass and kill him.” After talking to the four men, nothing happened, and they apologized and left.
Jazell Kalera Freeman of Preston Drive in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on November 1st, charged with domestic assault. She is free on a $1,000 bond.
