Zachary Key charged with DUI after speeding on the interstate

18-year-old Zachary Key was traveling at a high rate of speed on I-40 in the early hours of Sunday morning when he passed an officer. He reportedly swerved between lanes and nearly struck another vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted, and Key reeked of alcohol and was visibly intoxicated. He had trouble keeping his balance when he stepped out of the vehicle. He refused all testing and was taken into custody and charged with DUI. Police located two cases of beer in the back seat of the vehicle.

Ross Yeo charged with DUI after crashing into mailbox on Old Clarksville Pike

25-year-old Ross Yeo told police he was “going through things” and “needed to leave it all up to him” but would not elaborate further when they found him on Old Clarksville Pike late Friday night. He reportedly reeked of alcohol and had run over a mailbox about forty-five minutes prior. He also admitted to consuming a Heineken and four mixed drinks prior to driving. Police found his wrecked vehicle some distance away on Old Clarksville Pike, with an open case Heineken inside. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. He later blew a 0.110% BAC on a breathalyzer.

DUI: Prince Kwarteng blows 0.225% BAC after crashing into tree

33-year-old Prince Kwarteng was booked on July 9th after driving drunk into a tree on Couchville Pike. When police arrived, they observed Prince trapped in his gray Chrysler Sebring. He told the officers that he lost control and drove off the road. Prince admitted to drinking 1-2 Hennessey drinks. He had watery eyes, smelled strongly of alcohol, and had urinated on himself. He was transported to Century Farms Hospital, where he performed sobriety tests. Prince showed indicators of being extremely drunk and was taken into custody. He blew a .225% BAC on the breathalyzer.

Kaela M’Kenzie Armbrister charged in DUI after late night crash

32-year-old Kaela M’Kenzie Armbrister was involved in a traffic crash late Tuesday night and reeked of alcohol when officers arrived at the scene. She was reportedly swaying and having trouble standing and walking. She admitted to having “three drinks” prior to driving. Due to her level of impairment field sobriety tests could not be completed. As the officer read the implied consent form to her in the back of the patrol car, Armbrister passed out and was unresponsive. The office took this as a refusal and was additionally charged with violation of the implied consent law and DUI.

Hubert ‘Bookey’ Shipp charged with DUI after multi-vehicle crash in Antioch

32-year-old Hubert ‘Bookey’ Shipp was booked on July 8th after causing a multi-vehicle crash on Bell Road & Cane Ridge Road. Officers asked Shipp if had consumed any alcohol, and he replied, “Yes, I had a shot of alcohol,” and admitted to being the driver of the vehicle. He had bloodshot eyes and was swaying back and forth while trying to complete field sobriety tests. He performed poorly and was taken into custody.

DUI: Jaxson Kinard overdoses while driving in downtown Nashville

21-year-old Jaxson Kinard was found passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle at 5th & Harrison in downtown Nashville late Monday night. Medics administered Narcan, and he became alert again, showing signs of an overdose. He stated he took a blue M30 branded pill at 10 p.m., which he believed also contained Fentanyl, and the last thing he remembers was being on Broadway. He also disclosed he had recently been in rehab, and this was the first pill he had taken since he got out. An additional M30 pill was located in his wallet.

Dillon Law charged with DUI after smoking marijuana before driving

29-year-old Dillon Law told police he smoked “an eight of marijuana at a friend’s house” before rear-ending another vehicle at a traffic light at Franklin Pike and Old Hickory Blvd. First responders described Law as “incoherent” and in an altered state of mind. He was unable to recall his age or today’s date. He was unable to maintain his balance and was very inattentive. Law was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of an intoxicant.

DUI: Karvon Chandler charged after he sped to 90 mph in front of police

22-year-old Karvon Chandler was jailed on July 2nd for evading police after a night of drinking at a local club. Police observed a silver Chevy Camaro pull in front of them on Buchanon Street and followed it to Clarksville Pike, where it sped up to 60 mph in a 45-mph zone. Officers turned on their blue lights and sirens in an attempt to pull the Camaro over, but it sped up to almost 90 mph. The police pulled to the side of the road because they didn’t want to initiate a chase. While the officers were stopped, they noticed the Camaro had pulled into the Cumberland View Apartments parking lot.

The officers approached the vehicle and noticed the driver was not inside. A woman came outside asking the officers what they wanted with the car, and they asked her if she knew the driver. She told them that the driver was her nephew and was inside her apartment because he called her, stating he was drunk and needed a place to stay for the night. The officers asked to speak with Chandler, so the aunt led them to her apartment. When they reached the apartment, Chandler came out the front door and told police he was the one driving and that he didn’t stop because he was scared and confused. He admitted to drinking alcohol while he was at a club. Chandler said while he was driving, he realized it was late, and he was drunk and turned around to go home. He was taken into custody and blew a 0.169% BAC on a breathalyzer.

DUI: Blake Bearden drives into pool area and off a rock wall after drinking

31-year-old Blake Bearden drove into the pool area and off a rock wall inside a multi-million dollar estate on Sewanee Road late Wednesday night. Officers arrived to find Bearden asleep in the front seat of his truck with a half-empty beer can in the cup holder and five other empty beer cans in the floorboard. He stated he had come “from Nashville” when he crashed into the South Nashville estate owned by Douglas Kitchen. He admitted to having “too much” to drink and was also the subject of several earlier calls about his erratic driving on Hillsboro Pike. He refused all sobriety testing and was taken into custody.

DUI: Victoria Hellman jailed after erratic driving on I-65

25-year-old Victoria Hellman was driving erratically on I-65 N late Sunday night, quickly switching between 50 mph and 80 mph repeatedly. As an officer observed her, she ran off the right side of the road, then ran back onto the road and across multiple lanes. A traffic stop was conducted, and she was visibly intoxicated. Hellman admitted to having “a few drinks at the bar” prior to driving. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was charged with DUI.
