18-year-old Zachary Key was traveling at a high rate of speed on I-40 in the early hours of Sunday morning when he passed an officer. He reportedly swerved between lanes and nearly struck another vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted, and Key reeked of alcohol and was visibly intoxicated. He had trouble keeping his balance when he stepped out of the vehicle. He refused all testing and was taken into custody and charged with DUI. Police located two cases of beer in the back seat of the vehicle.
Zachary William Key of Running Meadows Rd in Portland, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on July 16th, charged with driving under the influence and implied consent violation. He is free on a $3,000 bond.
