32-year-old Kaela M’Kenzie Armbrister was involved in a traffic crash late Tuesday night and reeked of alcohol when officers arrived at the scene. She was reportedly swaying and having trouble standing and walking. She admitted to having “three drinks” prior to driving. Due to her level of impairment field sobriety tests could not be completed. As the officer read the implied consent form to her in the back of the patrol car, Armbrister passed out and was unresponsive. The office took this as a refusal and was additionally charged with violation of the implied consent law and DUI.
