Johnathan Kalac indicted on sexual exploitation of a minor charges — $35K bond

33-year-old Johnathan Kalac is charged with 16 counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor. A Davidson County Grand Jury indicted him on the charges in March and he was booked into custody this week. The indictment specifies multiple days on which Kalac possessed the obscene material with intent to promote, sell, distribute, transport, purchase, or exchange it with others. He is jailed in lieu of a $35,000 bond.

Emanuel Pedreira Valdes charged in brutal beating — “I should have stopped. I didn’t mean to hurt her”.

32-year-old Emanuel Pedreira Valdes is charged with the brutal beating of his girlfriend, Cassandra Neal, inside their Antioch apartment. He beat her until she vomited, and strangled her until she couldn’t breathe. The assault began when he accused her of cheating and spread from an upstairs bathroom to every room in the home. He pushed her hit her, slapped her bit her, strangled her twice, punched her in the face, and threatened to kill her as he strangled her again. Police documented redness to her face, cuts, bruising, red marks, and swelling. In a statement to police, Pedreira Valdes said “I should have stopped. I didn’t mean to hurt her”.

Malik Mingo booked on multiple warrants; pistol-whipping a woman, harassing a man, #punktypestuff

28-year-old Malik Mingo was is free again on a new $36,000 bond after being booked on three outstanding warrants this week. An October warrant for harassment details a threatening text message sent to Reginald Murphy, in which he stated he would find out where he stays or catch him in that “bs azz Charger” alluding to the victim’s car. A February warrant charged him with the aggravated assault with a deadly weapon of Alexandria Lavender after he pistol-whipped her inside of an apartment, and again inside his vehicle. She also presented to police with multiple bruises and injuries from being beaten. The third warrant, from April 2nd, charges him with another aggravated assault of the same victim after police noticed his car at the gate of an apartment complex in Antioch, and a trail of blood coming from the vehicle and a stroller. Witnesses relayed Mingo dragged her while beating her, which resulted in her requiring stitches.

Omarion Wright charged after busting windshield of boyfriend’s car while he was seeking an order of protection

19-year-old Omarion Wright and his boyfriend, Isaiah McDaniel, who have made prior Scoop: Nashville appearances for their relationship antics, had a domestic disturbance in March, which resulted in Isaiah going downtown to seek an order of protection. While he was seeking assistance with that endeavor, Omarian reportedly came to his home and smashed the windshield of his vehicle, which was observed by multiple witnesses. Jason Yerel charged with domestic assault after ripping shirt off his boyfriend

18-year-old Jason Yerel is charged with the domestic assault of his boyfriend, Faren Yovany Garcia, on Wednesday morning. Police responded to their apartment, where Faren stated the couple had a verbal argument when Faren attempted to leave and Jason grabbed him to try to stop him from leaving the home, ripping his shirt in the process. Faren states he was in fear of bodily injury at that time. Jason admitted he tore the shirt off Faren, and was taken into custody.

Police arrest intoxicated man who was enjoying the sprinklers at Home Depot — Antonio Cruz

20-year-old Antonio Cruz was found standing underneath the outside sprinklers at the Home Depot on Bell road, extremely intoxicated and enjoying the drops of water raining down on him. A store manager attempted to ask him to leave the property, but when he continued to remain under the sprinklers, police were alerted. When he was unable to tell him who he was or where he stayed, they took him into custody for public intoxication.

Gregory Coker booked for 1996 burglary of Beefys in Nashville

58-year-old Gregory Coker came into contact with police in Coffee County this week, who realized he had an outstanding warrant in Nashville — from 1996. He was transferred to the Davidson County Jail to answer for the 26-year-old warrant, which charges him with the felony burglary of a business called “Beefys”. The warrant alleges he was an employee at the location and came one on one of his days off and took money from the safe.

Tourist charged after repeatedly punching wife on ground in downtown Nashville — Robert Hunter Jr. arrested

42-year-old Robert Hunter Jr., of Massachusetts, is now charged with the domestic assault of his wife, Michelle Hunter, during their trip to Nashville. A witness called 911 while stopped at a traffic light near Broadway & 14th Ave N. when they heard a female scream and yell for help then observed Hunter punching the woman on the ground while yelling obscenities at her. The victim initially claimed the argument was only verbal, however, officers documented multiple injuries on her body and dirt on her clothing. Hunter told police nothing happened, and his wife actually slapped him.
