Elajah Christian jailed after pistol-whipping boyfriend’s head, punching him in face

23-year-old Elajah Michelle Christian had a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Devonteze Marquis, at her apartment on Creekwood Drive on December 29th. Marquis went to James Robertson Parkway to report the incident and advised officers that he was sleeping when she woke him up, yelling regarding messages she found suspecting him of cheating. Then, she punched him approximately ten times in the face before grabbing a handgun and hitting him in the head with it repeatedly. He stated that he never hit her. Shaska Webb, Marquis’s mother, was interviewed and told officers that she became aware of the incident through an acquaintance who sent her a video showing Christian yelling and hitting him two times with a dark-colored semi-automatic handgun. Also, she stated her son took the video and posted it on Instagram Live. Christian was taken into custody for aggravated assault.

Witnesses and bouncers advised officers of the scuffle, and they located Lee, but he began to flee, ignoring their commands to stop running. Lee was actively resistant when they detained him, and he was pepper sprayed during the altercation, so he had to be medically cleared before being taken into custody for evading arrest, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

Julian De La Rosa jailed after punching bouncer at Jason Aldean’s Bar in downtown Nashville

20-year-old Julian De La Rosa was disorderly at Jason Aldean’s Bar early January 1st. Security guards advised officers that De La Rosa was extremely intoxicated, refused to leave after being told to, and punched Tony Madrid, a security guard, in the chin when they were detaining him. De La Rosa pulled away from officers, trying to avoid handcuffs, but he was ultimately taken into custody for resisting public intoxication and resisting arrest.

33-year-old Justin Lamar Bean, car salesperson at Don Franklin Auto, publicly urinated on the 1st Avenue South side of ACME Feed and Seed on December 31st. Complainants witnessed this and alerted officers, advising them that when they addressed Bean urinating, he kept his penis out in public view, twirling it around while walking towards them. They stated that Bean asked them if they wanted to have sex with him while holding his exposed genitals. This sparked a heated argument between Bean and the complainants. Officers observed Bean getting in one of their faces, threatening to fight them. Officers approached Bean and noticed he was visibly intoxicated, accusing the other party of taking his hat, which he found in his hoodie shortly after. Officers offered to flag down a taxi, but Bean continued belligerently shouting at someone on the phone. He refused to call Uber, admitted to having at least four shots of alcohol, and was unable to tell officers where he lived. Bean was deemed a danger to himself and others, so they detained him. They located a baggie of cocaine and other pills in his front left coat pocket, and he was taken into custody for public intoxication and simple possession.

Joseph Konrath drunkenly fights man for bumping into him on Broadway

41-year-old Joseph Konrath was booked Monday morning when police were notified that two men were actively fighting behind a marked police car. Police were on the corner of Rep John Lewis and Broadway and rushed to the area to find bystanders attempting to break up the fight. The police announced themselves, and the citizens broke off to allow them to take over. As police attempted to separate the men, a drunk woman, Caitlin Chism, repeatedly intervened and had to be removed from the area. Once police separated the involved parties, Joseph Konrath and Isaiah Lofton, police began questioning them. Konrath stated that he “bumped into a dude, and next thing he knows, he was on the ground being arrested.” Police asked him several times what happened, but he couldn’t remember. While conducting a search, officers found an empty beer bottle in his jacket pocket. Konrath was visibly intoxicated and smelled strongly of alcohol. He was taken into custody and continued to be disorderly on the way to booking.

27-year-old Isaiah Michael Lofton got into a scuffle with Joseph Konrath at the corner of Representative John Lewis Way and Broadway early January 1st. Officers observed this, intervened, and separated the two. As Officers attempted to separate the men, a drunk woman, Caitlin Chism, repeatedly intervened and had to be removed from the scene. The men, who were both intoxicated, told officers that the other one initiated the altercation once they bumped into each other while walking in the street. Lofton was taken into custody for disorderly conduct.

DUI: Sebastian Cova runs man over after crashing into his car

22-year-old Sebastian Cova was jailed on January 1st after police responded to 4th Avenue North for a vehicle crash. Elijah Zeisloft told police that Cova crashed into his parked vehicle. When Elijah approached Cova to get his information, Cova attempted to flee the scene and struck his car a second time. Elijah was in front of Cova’s vehicle at this point, walking toward the driver’s seat. According to Elijah, Cova revved his engine before accelerating forward toward him and struck him in the leg before crashing into a gate. Officers smelled alcohol mixed with cologne as they spoke with Cova. He was unsteady on his feet and had watery eyes and dilated pupils. Cova performed poorly on sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Cova was charged with driving under the influence, aggravated assault, reckless driving, and driving without a license.

Victoria Rogers charged in Ole Red Brawl on Broadway

27-year-old Victoria Rogers was jailed early Monday morning after police responded to a brawl at Ole Red Bar on Broadway. Rogers and other involved individuals were escorted outside by bar security. While outside, Rogers got into another altercation with the same individuals from inside. Security intervened again and claimed they were assaulted; however, they did not wish to prosecute at that time. Rogers created a public disturbance and was arrested due to the likelihood that it would continue.

DUI: Charles Davis urinates on himself during sobriety tests after causing crash

30-year-old Charles Davis was charged on January 1st after causing a crash at Flora Wilson Park. When officers arrived on the scene, they immediately observed Mr. Davis stumbling and smelt alcohol coming from him. He explained that he had a beer at the bar he had just recently left from. During the field sobriety tests, Mr. Davis urinated on himself and was having issues staying still. The tests were concluded, and he was transported to Nashville General Hospital for a blood draw before being transported to booking. Charles Davis was charged with driving under the influence and implied consent.

Caitlyn Chism drunkenly tries to stop officers breaking up street fight on New Year’s Day

27-year-old Caitlin Chism had to be physically removed from a fight at the corner of Representative John Lewis Way and Broadway on January 1st. Officers responded to a physical altercation between two men, Isaiah Lofton and Joseph Konrath. When officers tried to separate the involved parties, Chism repeatedly intervened and had to be removed from the scene. When police interacted with Chism, they noticed she was heavily intoxicated and unable to care for herself. Chism was arrested for her safety and taken into custody for public intoxication.
