Nina Davis jerks steering wheel from Lyft driver, causing a crash as she’s “having a meltdown”

Metro Nashville Police say Lyft passenger, 24-year-old Nina Davis, abruptly grabbed the steering wheel of the vehicle that was transporting her on I-24 and jolted it to the right causing it to crash into a median, totaling the vehicle. The driver, Andrew Moe, says she was “having a meltdown” just before the grabbed the wheel. After the crash, Nina Davis stood in a lane of the interstate attempting to be hit by a vehicle. Officers say she was highly intoxicated and transported her to Metro General for evaluation prior to being transported to booking. While at the hospital, she also picked up a disorderly conduct charge by yelling and screaming “provocative things” and causing a public disruption.

Jody Samford threatens Black tenants with a handgun & racist remarks

53-year-old Jody Samford faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he pulled a handgun on a couple who rented a room from him and stated, “you’re about to get your black ass shot!” The victims, Calvin Foxx and Princess Scott, were recently told they needed to move out of the home, and Princess was having a discussion with Jody’s wife, Pamela Samford, near the front door of the home on October 1st. Calvin exited the bedroom after hearing the two talking and noticed Jody Samford was holding a black and purple handgun, which he says was pointed at her, and overheard Samford make the verbal threat to Princess. Calvin says Jody then pointed the handgun at him and stated, “you will be leaving one way or another!”

Jody’s wife, Pamela, would never admit to witnessing him pointing the handgun but eventually confirmed her husband did own a black and purple pistol. One of Pamela Samford’s social media profiles from 2021 has the tagline of “Mature couple ready for playing.” (images inside…)

Jennifer Croy fires gun at neighbors during shared driveway dispute

Shawn Cates and David Carney met with police Saturday evening to report their neighbor, 39-year-old Jennifer Croy, had just fired a gun at them, and they have the incident recorded on video. The argument was about shared driveway space between the three, and they say the disagreement gradually escalated until Jennifer produced a handgun and pointed the gun at each of the victims, and fired a single shot in their direction. Officer met with Croy, who denied ever pointing a gun at either man but stated she did have a handgun in her possession. Officers played the video for Croy, which clearly showed her pointing and firing the gun, and she continued to deny what the video showed.

Lanikya Harris pins Michelle Render against wall with car before beating her; says she owed her money

Michelle Render says she owed money to 34-year-old Lanikya Harris, who she was supposed to meet at 6 p.m. at a neutral location. As Render was leaving her home for the meetup, she was walking toward Hart Street just south of downtown Nashville and noticed Harris’ car. The two engaged in a verbal altercation, and suddenly Harris jumps a curb in her vehicle, drives through a parking lot, and pins Render against a building. She then put the car in reverse to release the victim, placed the car in park, and exited the vehicle. She approached the victim on foot and continued the physical assault on Render. A nearby neighbor, Eric Wallace, witness the assault from his apartment and confirmed the events to police.

Miranda Coombs assaults manager of Eddie V’s with a candlestick after fist fighting her date

37-year-old Miranda A. Coombs was jailed Thursday on an outstanding felony warrant in Nashville, charging her with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was dining at Eddie V’s Prime Seafood in downtown Nashville in March with an “acquaintance” when an argument erupted between the two, and a fist fight broke out at the restaurant. Ross Kovacs, a managing partner of the restaurant, attempted to intervene and was struck in the head with a candlestick holder by Coombs. He sustained a bleeding laceration to the head, and a warrant was taken out for Coombs.

Taliyah Wallace attempts to run over her baby daddy with car, smashes his mother’s car instead

18-year-old Taliyah Wallace was booked Tuesday on two outstanding felony warrants charging her with aggravated assault and vandalism. The warrants allege she was upset with the father of her child, Travontez Turner, because another female had talked to him. She was parked on the street behind the vehicle of his mother, Tarhonda Turner, and Travontez was standing between the two vehicles as they talked. She grew more upset and suddenly floored the gas pedal of her vehicle in an attempt to strike him; however, he was able to jump out of the way as he heard the engine. She drove into his mother’s car, up into the yard, and then fled the scene, with her one-year-old child in the vehicle with her the entire time.

Tomas Javier charged after dragging wife down the street, punching her in stomach, slamming her head into pole, per witness reports.

26-year-old Tomas Javier is charged with the aggravated assault of his wife, Morena Rodriguez, after she says he became upset over the content of text messages on her phone that he disapproved of. When police arrived at the couple’s Litton Ave residence, Morena explained that Tomas placed his hands around her neck, strangling her until she had problems with breathing. Several neighborhood witnesses to the incident reported they saw Tomas drag the victim down the street, punch her in the stomach, and slam her head into a utility pole, which matched the multitude of injuries to her neck and face.

Taneka Hayden charged after stabbing boyfriend in back at Dickerson Pike Sonic

31-year-old Taneka Hayden remains jailed on a $51,000 bond after police say she stabbed her boyfriend, Jacob Reimann, in the back with a green kitchen knife at the Sonic on Dickerson Pike, which officers eventually retrieved from her bra and it was blood-covered. The victim says the couple has been dating for approximately four years, and while they were at Sonic, a car drove by and someone inside it “cat called her using a racial slur.” She believed her boyfriend was taking up for the person in the vehicle and began to assault Reimann with punches to the face and then almost immediately stabbed him in the back, as confirmed by witnesses at the location. During an interview, Hayden claimed the stabbing was in self-defense, claiming he had punched her first, but witness accounts disputed this version of events.
