A family scuffle between sisters from Ohio landed 29-year-old Christina Michelle Scipio in the Metro Nashville Jail late Friday night. The family was staying in downtown Nashville when their father says he observed a fight break out between them, leaving Hannah Scipio with scratches and bruises to her face and leg. She was able to get a few hits back on Christina, including a bruise to the right corner of her mouth, but police determined Christina to be the primary aggressor and took her into custody. She is free on a $1,000 bond.

ARREST WARRANT / AFFIDAVIT: |
This is a domestic violence incident between family members (sisters). I was dispatched to 501Representative Lewis Way, unit 362, in response to a domestic disturbance called in by the Victim. Upon arrival, I spoke with the Victim, Defendant, and Witness separately. The Victim and Defendant are sisters; the Witness is their father.
The Victim and Defendant both stated that they got into an argument with one another. They both stated that the argument escalated into a physical fight. They both indicated that the other party was the initial aggressor. The Witness stated that he heard the encounter between the Victim and Defendant, and observed them fighting; however, he did not see who started the physical confrontation. Both the Victim and Defendant had sustained injuries. The Victim suffered multiple minor lacerations and scratches to her face, bruises both to the left of and beneath her left eye, and reddening to the back of her right leg. The defendant suffered a minor laceration under her left eye, two bruises on the left side of her face, and a bruise to the right comer of her mouth. The Victim’s injuries appeared more severe than the Defendant’s. Due to the statements made by the Victim, Defendant and Witness, and that the Victim suffered more severe injuries than the Defendant, there was probable cause that the Defendant assaulted the Victim; the Defendant was determined to be the primary aggressor. The victim did not wish to prosecute; however, being an allegation of domestic violence, I am prosecuting on behalf of the Victim. |
