Tourist James Jenkins charged with DUI on I-24

A Tennessee Highway Patrolman conducted a traffic stop on October 6th when he was westbound on I-24 and observed 30-year-old James Jenkins passing his patrol vehicle at a high rate of speed before following another vehicle too close. Jenkins showed visible signs of intoxication when the patrolman approached the vehicle, and Jenkins admitted to drinking and driving. Jenkins performed poorly on sobriety tests and was arrested for driving under the influence.

James Mickey Jenkins of SW Pacific Highway in Tualatin, OR, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on October 6th, charged with DUI. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $1,000, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
