52-year-old David Martin was arrested for being a felon in possession of a handgun and impersonating a licensed security guard on October 17th. Officers observed Martin approaching a market on Buchanan St. wearing a black ballistic-style vest labeled “security” and a black handgun on his right hip. Martin has a felony conviction for second-degree murder and was unable to provide any license regarding him being armed security. Officers removed a 9mm Russian Makarov with one in the chamber and eight rounds in the magazine from Martin’s hip before taking him into custody.

David Darrell Martin of Ed Temple Blvd in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on October 17th, charged with impersonating a professional and felon in possession of a handgun. He is free on a $20,000 bond.
