35-year-old Courtney Petway was jailed Sunday after reports that he was passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle in the middle of a Waffle House parking lot. When police arrived on the scene, they saw Petway’s vehicle obstructing traffic. EMS stated that he was unconscious and didn’t respond to their initial attempts to wake him up. Petway finally woke up when EMS shook his car. He told police that he drank about 5-6 shots of tequila at a club called Layer Cake and remembered leaving but doesn’t remember driving to Waffle House. Petway was visibly intoxicated and taken into custody.
Courtney Petway of Sunflower Drive in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on October 29th, charged with DUI. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $3,000, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
