She called an ex-boyfriend, who then called the police to respond to the scene. Police documented the victim’s injuries and spoke with Young, who stated “I do have anger issues but we just had a verbal argument”.

Midtown man charged in assault of boyfriend after drinking — Brett Curtis Finch arrested
Police say Jeremy Bauer told his boyfriend, 40-year-old Brett Finch, to “go to bed and stop arguing” after dinner and drinks. That’s when Bauer says Finch struck him in the face, causing a laceration to his lip. Police responded to the scene, and documented visible scratches on the victim’s neck and discovered a cracked screen on the victim’s phone, which Brett reportedly threw to the ground. Police issued two warrants for the arrest of Finch, as he had already fled the scene, and he was booked into the Metro Jail this week.

18-year-old Justin Craig was jailed Monday after admitting to throwing a dinner plate at the side of his father’s head during an argument. Andrew Craig complained of pain from the assault and told police his son became angry after the two were in a verbal argument.
Woman charged with felony after thrashing boyfriend with charging cable — Makiya London
19-year-old Makiya Ashley London is charged with aggravated domestic assault after police say she assaulted her boyfriend, Gage Quinn Cook, with a charging cable and punched him in the face several times after he reportedly told her “maybe you deserve to get cheated on”. The victim has injuries all across his back from the strikes with the cable.
Man charged after throwing brick at boyfriend, hitting car instead — Khiry Crowder
32-year-old Khiry Crowder was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Wednesday on two outstanding warrants stemming from an October incident in which police say he threw a brick at his boyfriend, Haikim Shruggs, but missed, and it struck the boyfriend’s work vehicle instead. Crowder is charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism.
Woman tosses ex’s Xbox off 2nd floor when she finds him with another woman — Imani Nixon
Police say 19-year-old Imani Nixon and her boyfriend, Kaveion McKissack, ended their relationship several days ago, and she had not returned to their shared apartment since. On January 22nd, Nixon returned to find another Kaveion and a female friend, Alex Mitchell, asleep in the bedroom She assaulted him, leaving his face swollen and scratches and marks on his face, chest, and shoulder.
She then tossed a box fan into his television, and tossed his Xbox from the second-floor apartment, down onto the ground, destroying it. Nixon is free on a $2,000 bond.
Man breaks into girlfriend’s parent’s house after being kicked out — Nicholas Chowning
Police say 30-year-old Nicholas Chowning was kicked out of his girlfriend’s parent’s home for being drunk and aggressive. Her parent removed him and told him to call an Uber to get home. Moments later, Chowning shattered the front window of the home and sat on the living room floor, where police found him late Thursday, bloody and defiant.
Chowning was taken into custody, charged with felony aggravated burglary. His bond is set at $10,000.
Stephanie Gilyard & Tashauna Wallace arrested after lovers’ quarrel that left Tupperware torn
39-year-old Stephanie Gilyard & her 31-year-old girlfriend Tashauna Patrice Wallace were both booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday after a brawl. Tashauna broke a Tupperware container and a picture, while Stephanie broke Tashauna’s face with her fists. Both have $1,000 bond, one of which has been posted.
Woman charged with keying ex-boyfriend’s car — Kayla McKenzie
28-year-old Kayla McKenzie was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Monday on an outstanding vandalism warrant from last year when her ex-boyfriend, Michael Shields came to the Family Safety Center to report she had keyed his car. She is free on a $1,000 bond.
Marine charged in assault of wife over baby crying — Aaron Burnette arrested
23-year-old Marine Aaron Burnette was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail Tuesday on an outstanding warrant from the weekend, charging him with the domestic assault and bodily injury of his wife, Chelsea Majors Burnette.
The victim says he shoved her to the ground while she was holding their child and punched her the head with a fist, leaving swelling, while on top of her. He then fled the scene.
