This story is brought to you by Scoop: Nashville as part of the #bspotter / #VisitMusicCity series which features tourist and downtown-related arrests in Music City.
Police say 28-year-old Tia Lavon Sharp used a hammer to destroy 2 passenger side mirrors and two windshields on separate vehicles, a tail light on another vehicle, and a mailbox, all belonging to the father of her unborn child, Gerald Willingham. Willingham says she caught him cheating and began attacking cars in his driveway. Willingham’s wife, Amanda, also witnessed the incident.
Sharp claims that her “baby daddy” is abusive, and they drove from Columbia with his wife, and Sharp wanted to leave but claims Willingham was after her Social Security money “on her card.” She says she only had a hammer because he has “pit bulls that is trained to attack,” and she had the hammer for self-defense but didn’t destroy anything.
Tia Lavon Sharp was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on November 2nd, charged with felony vandalism. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $2,500.
