23-year-old Sarah Valdivia thrashed her boyfriend (and father of her child) Eli Rios with a charging cable on February 16 repeatedly 10-12 times, leaving visible welts on his body. The couple was in an argument about him visiting his mother after his job interview, and Valdivia became irrationally upset and began to beat him with the cable. Officers documented injuries on the victim, and Sarah admitted to the assault.
Sarah Renee Valdivia of Church St in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on February 16th, charged with domestic assault with bodily injury. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $1,000.
