21-year-old Ebenezer Bedasso was jailed on April 14th after falling asleep while intoxicated in a Subway bathroom on Bell Road. Nashville Fire first responders told police that they found Bedasso asleep in the bathroom with a Springfield 9mm handgun beside him after they were called to the scene. They kicked the gun away and stored it safely until the police arrived. Bedasso wasn’t making any sense and thought he was still downtown on Broadway, but he was asleep in the bathroom for almost 4 hours. When police spoke with Bedasso, he appeared highly intoxicated and smelled of alcohol. He told the police, “I had a few beers.” He also told police he did not understand, stating, “I’m too drunk.” At booking, he told officers that he found the gun that was at the scene and “You don’t know it yet, but you fucked up.” Bedasso also let the police know that he wished he was awake when they arrived so he could engage in a gunfight and go out like “Tony Montana.”
