24-year-old La Avya Bragg was jailed on May 6th after neighbors called police, reporting that she was yelling and banging on the walls so loud they couldn’t sleep. Officers responded to Palestine Avenue and heard screaming and banging coming from an apartment. When they approached, Bragg had the door open and was screaming. When officers tried to speak with her, she screamed louder and became irate, banging on walls and throwing things around. The officers explained that her disruptive behavior was keeping the neighbors up, and if she didn’t stop, she would be arrested. Bragg started screaming even louder and was placed into custody. She yelled in the patrol car, and once at booking, she continued to yell and kick the door.
