31-year-old Renas Kestay was let into a Mapco by an employee around 2 a.m. on July 13th. Police reviewed security footage that showed Renas entering the store, grabbing a trash bag by the door, going behind the counter, and filling the bag with cigarettes and scratch-off lottery tickets. The estimated value of cigarettes and scratch-offs inside the back is $1,195. The footage then shows Renas leaving with the trash bag. Police identified Renas from his tattoos and previous body cam footage with him in it.

Renas Nusredin Kestay was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on August 6th, charged with theft of merchandise. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,000.
