38-year-old Deidre Meador was charged with custodial interference when she grabbed her son from BNA Airport while he was supposed to fly home to his father in Houston. The father, Vereese Utley Sr., stated that his son’s mother, Deidre, kidnapped him while he was on a layover in Nashville. He said that he has full custody and she is not supposed to be in contact with the son. The son was supposed to be on a flight to Houston, where Vereese lives, from Raleigh Durnham Airport, due to him stealing a dirt bike while staying with his grandparents in South Carolina. He said the son was upset due to Vereese saying that he would be grounded when he came home. When he last had contact with his son’s Life 360 app, it showed him traveling on I-65 north. Police were told what the son was wearing and found security footage showing him enter a red Grand Caravan at BNA Airport Nashville. They entered the son into NCIC as a missing juvenile. Thirty minutes later the NCIC had a hit in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
