47-year-old Robert Dozier Jr. was involved in a domestic altercation with his nephew, Jacob Dozier, at their home on Harpeth Parkway West early Halloween night. Robert spoke with officers when they arrived, as they were dispatched about Jacob possibly being suicidal. Robert advised them that Jacob was arguing with their family members and had thrown food on the floor. Robert then stated he hit Jacob on the leg with a belt as a form of discipline. In response to this, Jacob approached Robert with clenched fists, and Robert punched Jacob in the right side of his face. Jacob retaliated by punching Robert back, to which Robert then pushed Jacob away. Jacob confirmed the incident as officers observed slight redness on the right side of his face. Robert Dozier Jr. was then taken into custody for domestic assault.
Robert Dozier of Harpeth Parkway West in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on October 31st, charged with domestic assault. He is free on a $1000 bond.
