DUI: Nicholas Burks causes accident, tells officers he “did not run into anything”

28-year-old Nicholas Tre’Shun Burks was involved in a vehicle accident on I-24 East on November 19th. Burks told officers he was driving when he heard a loud pop but insisted he “did not run into or hit anything.” Officers observed Burks’s car with significant damage on the front end, inconsistent with his statements. Burks was visibly intoxicated, consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and provided two breath samples, resulting in 0.136% BAC and 0.141% BAC. He was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Nicholas Tre’Shun Burks of East Northfield Blvd. in Nashville, TN, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on November 19, charged with driving under the influence. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $4,000, and the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office gave him pre-trial release from their facility.
