21-year-old Dajia Johnson had a scuffle with her boyfriend, Alan Tillman, at Wallace Road on December 27th. Tillman called the police, advising Johnson assaulted and strangled him. Officers arrived and observed visible injuries on Tillman’s neck, shoulders, chest, arms, and face as he answered the door shirtless, with ripped shorts on. He informed them that Johnson had been kicked out of her mother’s house and had been residing with him for about two weeks. Tillman stated they argued over her wanting him to return the money she sent him on Chime to assist with rent and bills. Then, while he was facing the closet in the bedroom, Johnson punched him in the back of the head and shoved him into the back wall of the closet, causing him to hit his face against the wall. He continued, stating she put her weight on him and punched him repeatedly. Then, she sat on top of him and strangled him with both hands, hindering his breathing. Alan stated his sisters arrived and got her off him. Johnson stated that Tillman’s sisters threatened her with a gun after Alan hit her. Officers searched the apartment and did not find the gun. Officers observed injuries to both parties, but ultimately, Johnson was deemed the primary aggressor and taken into custody for aggravated assault.
