24-year-old Sam Bunch was involved in a car accident on Murfreesboro Pike, near Rural Hill Road, where he hit Ayodele Adewui’s vehicle and fled without exchanging information on the night of January 13th. Officers were dispatched to Bell Road and Zelida Avenue, spoke with both parties and were advised that Bunch had taken off in his truck after colliding with Adewui. Adewui stated that he followed Bunch until he stopped due to traffic, entered his truck, and told him that he was staying inside the vehicle while holding his phone until the authorities arrived. Then, they pulled into a nearby parking lot. Bunch admitted to fleeing and being the at-fault driver. Officers noticed that Bunch’s license had suspended status when verifying his identification. Bunch was taken into custody for leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended license.
